We continue to see Dr. E even though we moved to Oakland County. It so obvious he loves his job and loves our pets they we do. When we had to put Buster Down, not only did Emily come to say good bye.....when we pick up Buster's ashes, we found she made a mold of his paw print for us. Priceless.
My family has been taking animals there since 1970; I love Dr Ehrman, I call ahead to make sure he's there. I do like care for the younger doctor; he's arrogant and condescending. I have a hard time believing any of the reviews that negatively mention Dr E! I have such the opposite interactions there. I wish they would offer pay plans, however they are still one of the cheapest vets around. 5 star if it weren't for the young doctor!
Dear Lisa D.,
You and your daughters are not alone. My cat was failing at the hospital and I took her home to die. I called 'after hours' to leave a message at the clinic and a female picked up the phone (vet tech?). I choked back the tears and told her my cat had passed and before I hung up, she told me to "have a great night!"
The least they could do is buy a box of condolence cards and put one in the friggin' mail.
Took my 3 beloved cats there in January to be euthanized. I have never been treated with such lack of empathy or compassion when dealing with such a devastating matter in all my life. I had my 14 and 17 yr old daughters there along with my neighbor who drove US and, like me, they were appealed by the way we were treated by Dr.Ehrman. I am an RN trained in dealing with death and grief and would NEVER treat anyone with the same as disregard as me and my grieving daughters were by Dr. Ehrman. I will never return to that place and will continue to share my story so others may be spared the same experience we had .
