J&M Tree Service

I recently moved to Michigan in June and had two large trees that needed trimming and one large tree that needed all but 8' cut off. Additionally, I had shrubs removed which ran the entire length of the front of my house and needed them to be put in a wood chipper. Mike came out and gave me a quote for the entire job. In fact, he took care of the shrubbery that night. Because they are so busy, I was given a start date of November 20 for the tree trimming. Yesterday, I got a call asking if it was OK to start the job that day. Of course, I said yes. Jeremy, the job foreman, and his crew arrived at around 9 AM and didn't leave until after 6 PM, They came back today and finished the job. Not only did they do a fabulous job on my trees, Jeremy blew all of the leaves out of my backyard. That was definitely an added bonus. I cannot recommend J&M Tree Service enough. They left my yard looking much better than it was when they arrived.

When the company arrived, they were so polite and friendly. All of the workers knew their job, and the skills they showed and the safety aspect was just phenomenal. The company removed two very large trees, and one was tangled in the utilities wires. They removed the trees so professionally and watching inside my house was a pleasure to watch. The cleanup and grinding down the stumps was unmatched.Jeremy returned 2 days later for additional raking and blowing the leaves off the grass and reseeded and put down straw.You would never know two trees were ever there. Had tree damage from a storm - J&M came over the same day I called to provide an estimate. The crew came over the next day to take care of the emergency. The staff is very courteous. They also made sure to protect my other trees. Would highly recommend them.

We have used this company three times now and every time I am 100% satisfied. Vanessa from the office is a gem and so helpful with answering questions and scheduling the service. The crew shows up on time--every time. They do a great job and their clean up after the tree is down is so good and thorough that you can't even tell they were there. The crew is also very polite. Everyone is professional and they work hard from the time they arrive until they leave. I also feel their pricing is an excellent value for their service.

The J&M crew did a phenomenal job on our trees- we are INCREDIBLY pleased with their work. We received a courtesy call prior to their arrival, and they arrived on time. The crew worked; they trimmed, cut up, cleaned up, and upon completion, Cody did a walk-around to show & explain what was done. I was SO happy with their work. I liked our trees before, but now I luv them and look forward to what they will look like next Spring! They earned "two thumbs" way up- thanks for a job well done!

I could not be more pleased with the service I received on a big job. Amazing how the crew could negotiate my narrow driveway with all their equipment. 6 young men worked 4 hours professionally and with good humor. The work was dangerous but beautifully handled and cleanup was wonderful. The man up in the cherry picker obviously knew what he was doing and worked tirelessly, landing branches and large chunks of wood exactly where they needed to go. Everyone was aware of where they needed to be at all times and was courteous to me.
Help from the office was dependable and explanatory.

Every aspect of our experience was exceptional! The estimate was reasonable and honestly it was NOT our least expensive estimate but the professionalism of Jerry made us choose them. From the scheduling of the appointment to the cleanup of the last limb, this crew is very experienced and professional. Cody, Moose and Chuckie were FANTASTIC!! Would recommend their services 100%!!

Estimate was reasonable and prompt. Work was completed as promised. Several weather delays but Vanessa in the office always kept me informed as to the rescheduled date. I am happy with the work and will be using this company again in the future.

Called to schedule an estimate to have a tree trimmed up. They showed up promtly. We set date for the job. In the mean time we had storms and major tree damage across the county. Vanesa in the office did a great job at letting me know what was going on and when they would be here. When the guys show'd up they were very professional, did a great job and clean up. I won't hesitate to have them back when I need again. Also they do snow removal if anyone needs. I've called other companies and could not even get a return call. Very pleased.

Horrible experience. When I received a quote for a tree trim, I asked him if having a rabbit hutch and a chicken coop close to the tree would be a problem and he assured me no damage would be done in trimming. He saw the condition of my yard and could see that it was tight quarters with a patio, fences, and several gardens near the tree. I scheduled the service, but Never did get a promised phone call letting me know when to expect them. After they did show up ready to work, within 25 minutes I had to ask 3 times for them to please be more careful in the route they used to drag the branches out of the back yard. They were squeezing large, 10 foot wide limbs through a small arbor and down a garden path. I asked if they could please cut the limbs in half so that they weren't dragging across flowers and through arbors and hitting fences, but no change, and I finally had to reside to the fact that some of the flowers were probably going to be smashed. When it got even worse I stepped outside and asked that they be more careful with not dropping limbs on the chicken coop and my request was met with belligerence and rude comments. One man commented that if the chickens weren't dead yet, then what's the problem. The same man laughed at me several times when my son and I asked him why he had to be so careless as to smash a fence, and land limbs on top of flowers. After more laughing snide comments from the same man, I finally said "I am done with this conversation", and to please just finish the job and be more careful. He waved his arms around in anger and stated that even though there were more branches he should cut, that he was done working. I told him if he left now without being finished, he would not be paid. He tried to put the blame on me for telling him he was done working, and I reminded him, that NO, I had told him I was DONE with this conversation, NOT the work. By far one of the worst experiences I have ever had with any type of service.

J&M Tree Service has done a couple jobs for me now. Both times that I've used their services they have been very professional and prompt. I have received a call letting me know when they were going to be here and another call the day of service letting me know they were on the way. All around great company and service from J&M. Fast, friendly, and courteous service. We had a tree on the property line that was in the power lines as well. They worked quickly and efficiently. And the price was the best around! Fully insured, they were professional in all. I highly recommend them.

Great service, on time, and very nice. we needed a tree cut down because it was hanging over our house after the storm last month, and they came and did the job right away.
