Klingspor's Woodworking Shop of Asheville, is located in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, just off of Airport Road in Fletcher. We've been in business for over 25 years and we're passionate about woodworking. We're a supplier of woodworking tools, abrasives and machines. We carry brands like Arbortech, Bosch, Dewalt, Fein, Festool, Freud, General Finishes, Grex, Jet, King Arthur Tools, Klingspor Abrasives, Kreg, Mohawk Finishes, Nova/Teknatool, Porter Cable, Powermatic, Rikon, SawStop Saws, Shop Fox, SupermaxTools, Timberwolf Bandsaw Blades and many more. We have the products you're looking for in all the varieties of woodworking. Turning, Carving, Pyrography, Cabinetry, Jointery, Milling and Carpentry just to name a few. We are a full line Klingspor Abrasives distributor of sandpaper products. We carry everything for Automotive, Marine, Metalworking, Stone/Countertops and of course Woodworking. We are the only store that offers sandpaper by the pound and if you are having trouble finding a belt or disc for your machine, then contact us, we can make it for you. Our store personnel are woodworkers just like you. We enjoy discussing all of the different techniques and projects you can do in woodworking. Business History

Our company started with a single page ad for 20lbs of sandpaper in a woodworking magazine in the late 1980's. Since 1893 Klingspor Abrasives has been manufacturing sandpaper. Our manufacturing facility in Hickory, NC, produces sheets, discs, belts and rolls of sandpaper. This process produces off cuts and scraps of sandpaper. Instead of throwing the sandpaper away and adding to the landfill, an idea was introduced to offer sandpaper by the pound. The Bargain Box was introduced through a single page ad in Fine Woodworking Magazine. The Bargain Box was so well received, that a retail store was opened in 1991. Since then, Klingspor’s Woodworking Shop has opened 4 stores across North Carolina. We offer a full line mail catalog and an internet store. We carry over 40 vendors of woodworking and metalworking products. We still hold true to our roots of the Bargain Box and have large bins in each store that you can buy Sandpaper By the Pound.
