This place has the best breakfasts in the downriver area. They also have pies and many other sweets. Yiu can eat them there ir take a whole dessart home with you

Everything I have tried has been very good. Best pies and breakfast around. Biscuits and gravy are awesome! Pancakes are wonderful. The new Cuban sandwich is fantastic. Love, love, love their sourdough bread. Everyone who works there is friendly. Nothing fancy, just good home cooking. However, there is frequently a line, so be prepared to wait.

Been there several times and not once was I overly impressed. We went more than once because we thought our first failed trips may have been flukes, but sadly no. First impression the place is small, old, and rundown. Second our server was rude and lacked any type of personality. The table we were at last time wobbled and kept sloshing our coffee and eventually toppled my 3 yo's milk. Now let's move onto the coffee, the mugs look like they have never been washed just rinsed. Both our mugs had that brown stain inside, thinking it was just a stain but wanting to make sure I wiped it with my napkin and Voila, it wiped off. Same thing with my husbands. We had her bring us new coffee cups and guess what... same thing.. Gross! It literally came off with no effort whatsoever. Good thing I thought the cups were gross cause I never would of got a refill, the waitress disappeared. The breakfast was ok, nothing special. On a positive note, the biscuits were great, the sausage gravy though was tasteless. We won't be back for breakfast, we gave the place several chances, since it is close to home. The absolute best thing about the place that does deserve praise are the pies. Delicious! I believe to be overpriced but very good.

You must have been at another restaurant and not Kate's Kitchen. I have been frequenting this restaurant for 10 years and your statements are simply not true. There is not smoking at this restaurant snywhere, so if you were in a restaurant where people were smoking, you wer not at Kate's! The food is homemade from the biscuits to the pies. People are seated according to their place in line (which there usually is) and I have never seen anyone seated out of order or given preferential treatment. The wait staff has always been pleasant and accommodating to everyone. What's your problem?

You can'r go wrong going to Kates. Great breakfast and lunch, and exceptional pies and baked goods. Super Service

i love kates kitchen the breakfast is great. you get alot for your money. it is small but and sometimes you have to wait in line but it is worth the wait.
