Overall
Tony B's

I also was pleased to hear that a new restaurant was opening. I visited there, along with my two grandchildren. I was not pleased AT ALL with the pizza....actually--very disappointed. And I had to "shush" my grandkids who were who were trying to say out loud what I was thinking! I finally told them that we would discuss the food in the car!

In summary, Cecil Whitaker's is STILL the best!

Oh---one last thought: I remember Frank and Anthony's. it was a great place to eat, great food, large clientele. TB's is NOT FandA!

My son told me that the pizza ...

My son told me that the pizza seemed to rival Imo's. He loves the thin crust and provel cheese so that may be the reason. Imo's is so darn expensive and the $3 delivery charge which $2.50 goes to the driver seems a little outrageous, we are looking for an alternative for flour, water, cheese and toppings. The cost of the pizza ingredients are so cheap but pizza providers charge so much. Maybe a pizza provider should start a club for those frequent customers get a deal when they order at least 4-8 times a month.

Based on the reviews it appears the food tastes great but the service is poor. Must be that it is a new restaurant that can't handle a large influx of crowds. Growing pains. Hopefully they do well and are cheaper than Imo's.

Not too good

Went on a saturday night with no preconceived ideas of the place. Service was fine--we were checked on a few times and got timely refills on drinks. The atmosphere reminded me of a college dining hall, not much decoration or color, but there were at least two big flat screens for visual entertainment. The food wait was about average. We ordered the Tony B's pizza and nothing else. When it arrived it looked like flat bread with a bunch of toppings thrown on top, sausage chunks, pepperoni, bacon, very little cheese at all and lots of sauce. The mushrooms were obviously canned--not a big fan of those. The crust was for whatever reason soggy in the center and due to the lack of cheese, the toppings tended to fall off onto my plate. The favor was pretty mediocre. We probably won't be back but will instead visit JJ Twiggs or Fortels instead--much better local pizzas!

We read about the place in...

We read about the place in the paper & were excited to support a new business. We went for the lunch buffet on Feb. 12. We arrived around 2 pm. All of the tables were dirty. We were told to just sit wherever we liked but they did not offer to clean off any of the tables. All of the staff looked sloppy. The buffet was messy & just looked like stale leftovers. There were just a few pieces of stale looking garlic cheese bread. At this point, I don't know why we stayed. They eventually brought out some fresh pizza & it was only ok. We had to go up to the soda machine, which is behind the counter & ask someone to fill our sodas. Won't return-such a shame to spend all that money to open up a business & run it so poorly.

Don't go there!!!!! We walked ...

Don't go there!!!!! We walked in about 2pm on a Thursday, we were the only people there. We ordered pizza, salad, and an appetizer from an unfriendly waitress. Our food came out at a reasonable time but again the waitress was not friendly and seemed bothered by the fact that she had to wait on us. When she brought out our bacon cheese fries she didn't bring any sour cream or dipping sauce and went to sit at a table with her back to us. It was 5 min before we got her attention to ask for something because the music was too loud. The Pizza: it had almost no sauce, the crust was horrible, and it was overall a very bland pizza. While we were dining we witnessed a man of a different ethnicity come in and the waitress asked him in a very condescending tone of voice "Can I help you?" The man asked if they were hiring and was given an application to fill out, when finished he handed it back to the waitress who took it with disdain and replied "We aren't hiring anyone right now."

In my estimation the place lacked atmosphere, hospitality, friendliness, and the food was horrible. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

To all the hater's

I want to start by saying when I went for my first time I wase blown away by the the awesome servers the time it took for the food to get to the table and man let me tell you the taste of that food bring's you back to the( old country ) as if you went to siciley for one night. The amount of topping's they put on the pizza beat's everyone else that run's a pizza place (chane or family owned) all I can say is if you are hungry and want some real food and not some crape pizza hut or those other plase that you are use to eating come down to Tony B's thay will treat you right and you will leave with a full stumick

after reading the reviews to this pizzeria i decided to go and give it a try. i had a pleasant experience. it is a very spacious pizzeria, youre not on top of other customers. i asked the owners how long they have been open and they told me almost a month now. i had no problem ordering my food and it came out promtly. i have been around pizzerias for the past 22 years and found this place no different. we have to give these "mom and pop" pizzerias a chance to work out the kinks in the business. i am tired of watching the big chain resteraunts put these family places out of business. its nice to go into a place where it is still "family owned and ran." i will be back soon! good luck...tony b's...hang in there!

work nearby, gave it a chance

I went in to try the restuarant for lunch. The pizza was just okay. Nothing I would order again. My girlfriends that were with me ordered salad and a garlicy pasta. The service was really slow and they didn't seem very helpful. Not sure ill go back. Bummer since it is so close to work.

Great litle family place!

I was pleasantly surprised at the laid back atmosphere. My family felt comfortable in the relaxed and open environment. Food was great. Authentic food is hard to find these days. I especially liked their calzone!!! Have not had one that good in along time.

Overall, very pleased. Looking forward to trying the lunch buffet soon...

I never even ordered. I called...

I never even ordered. I called to place a carry out order and wanted half pepperoni and half hamburger. They wanted to charge me for 2 toppings. I explained that none of the other pizza places in town did that. They didn't care. I was looking forward to this place, but will not order from there based on principle. I will stick with the other pizza chains.

Dear Chis213213, On behalf of Tony B's Pizzeria I would like to apologize for this miscommunication. Being only our third day in business we are still trying to figure out what our customers need. It is evident that this needed to be changed, thus it was. WE WILL BE charging for a one topping on a half and half pizza. It is our goal to please those who want to support us, we appreciate your suggestion, and we have changed our actions accordingly. Thank you again and we hope you will give us another chance.

This was their first night. I...

This was their first night. I was there with my husband and 3 daughters. They had steady business. The decor was hideous and the noise was ridiculous. Pick either tv or radio as background. We watched and most people were waiting 45 minutes for salad and drinks. The dinner was nasty and one of my girls refused to eat. The bill came immediately after the food was served, the servers do not speak english, no one checked on us to see how the food was. WE had a few errands to run and i was immediately sick at he first place we went to. WOULD NOT reccomend to anyone. HORRIBLE.
