Be very careful when choosing to rent here. First, if you cannot leave a review on a site like Rent.com or ApartmentGuide, it's because only the property itself can control which residents get to leave feedback. I highly recommend closely reading the reviews that are accessible to all residents of the property. Having said that, be forewarned. These townhomes look really nice on the outside. However, they are loaded with plumbing, electrical, and other hazardous issues. My unit had black mold, multiple plumbing repairs, and hazardous wiring that fried a ceiling fan. It almost started a fire. The property is noisy with too many kids and pets, and dog crap everywhere. There are only 2 dumpsters for the entire property. Nothing is done about noisy neighbors, either. But the single worst thing about this property is how they gouge you with excessive and hidden fees. READ your lease very, very carefully. And, whatever they quote you on rent, be sure to add at least $50 to $100 to the total, without pets. They also attempt to charge you ridiculous fees when you move out, like $20 for a burned out lightbulb even if that's how you found the property when you moved in. They also try to get new carpet out of residents by blacklighting the carpet and forcing you to pay for new carpet if there's anything that shows up, regardless of if you had pets or not. They add new fees all the time as well. These units are close to everything, which makes them appealing. But, the price you pay is far too great. Rent at your own risk.

We got a three bedroom unit at...

We got a three bedroom unit at the beginning of 2011. We were told the unit had foundation problems and they had to replace the floors, which they did. We were also told verbally that they would be fixing things in the spring when the ground got softer. It is now August of 2011. We have lived with a very annoying tilted floor, but it's not so bad, we get used to it.

However, the walls started to crack pretty bad. Very very large cracks covering the walls and ceilings. Things were obviously getting way worse. Of course we told management so they could asses the situation. I knew they would need to get feedback from a specialist and I knew the process would take time. I'm not so unreasonable to expect things to work out overnight.

After about two weeks I called the office to check to see where things stand. I was told Gary (the maintenance manager) would come by and let me know. He didn't come that day. No problem, I am patient. I gave him the rest of the week before calling the office back. When Gary came, he was clearly irritated that I was checking in on things and told me he came with the speciallist a week ago and he's waiting to hear back from him. "Great! Progress", I thought. I asked Gary when the specialist was supposed to have more info. "Next week. I'll probably get back to you the weekend after that.", Gary said.

So I gave things a week, then a weekend and finally called back on Monday to check the status of things. Keep in mind that at this point I had called exactly 4 times over the course of a month. When I called the office for a status update, Elaine (the property manager) said "I don't understand why you keep calling when we are working on it".

As you can imagine, that response did not sit well with me. I have every right to call for a status update. She then proceeds to tell me that Gary never told me a time that he would get back to me and then downplayed the seriousness of the damage. "It's not affecting your life any", Elaine said. Things were getting unprofessional fast. But my solution was simple. It was obvious they didn't want to fix things. So, I requested a new unit. No problem, I just have to pay the proper fees. I then told Elaine that I don't like Gary. He's not a people person and he was not speaking honestly about the situation. He is clearly not professional.

Big mistake. Elaine then tells me that Gary is her husband and proceeds to rip me a new one for not liking him. Wow! I had no idea that I was required to like all the staff here. I didn't say anything slanderous about him. I simply expressed my opinion.

So in the end, we are paying to move to another unit because they will not fix ours. I don't mind moving. What really makes this a 1 star review (can't give 0) is the unprofessionalism of Elaine and Gary. There is nothing wrong with me calling once a week for a status update. Also, Elaine being so upset because I don't like her husband is ridiculous.

Your Right

There is no boundries all over this complex..The parking and the dumpsters, and the animal regulations that are in our lease,,about weight limit and also there is no designated place for them to drop their waste...

I cant believe it,,and if you say anything you are treated badly by the manager....What a disappointment to think you are steppin up,,just to find out you are stepping into something pretty distasteful..I completely agree with you...

Parking sucks!

There is nowhere to park. We only have one car and have to park 2 buildings away all the time. We have parking infront of us but the neighbors infront of us do not have parking which they take our parking space.

Now they moved our dumpster all the way next to the clubhouse which means we have to walk 20 buildings away in order to throw away our trash!! Some people put it behind their trucks and drop them off but for those who do not have trucks have to carry it. They also sent out a letter saying not to have garbage on our back porch....well that makes sense but sometimes you will need to put it in your back porch before you have to walk 20 buildings away to throw away trash. Our front yard is always trashy. Our neighbor has like 200 ciggaretts butts all over the front and back yard. They finally planted some plants but theirs is rocks and pebbles all over the front yard. It looks GREAT with the ciggarret butts!!
