Make Room for Mansion-Style Cuisine

Located inside the historic Wetherill Mansion -- one of the last surviving grand private mansions on Rittenhouse Square -- is this sophisticated addition to the Philly dining scene. In a sea of custom-made wood and marble furnishings, guests can indulge in such succulent dishes as wild mushroom soup, jumbo lump crab cakes or even a cauliflower "steak." Or if it's Sunday, there's a family-style, whole-fried Amish chicken that so kicks the Colonel's butt. Outside, Rittenhouse Tavern's patio area is perfectly positioned for warm spring evenings, as it sidles up to lush greenery and the chef's secret garden.

Opened: April 2012

From WeHo to SoHo to SoBe, here are some of the most tantalizing new restaurants to grace our city streets in the past six months or so.
