The Dish: The $1,000 Golden Opulence Sundae
The Story: Few desserts require a 48-hour advance reservation, but this Guinness World Record holder for priciest dessert does. Know why? It's got three scoops of rich Tahitian vanilla bean ice cream covered in 23K edible gold leaf, drizzled with the world's most expensive chocolate -- Amedei Porceleana. It does not stop there. It's also got exotic candied fruits from Fauchon in Paris, gold dragets, chocolate truffles and is mounted by a tiny glass bowl of Grand Passion caviar. It's all served in a Baccarat Harcourt crystal goblet with a 18K gold spoon. Unfortunately, it is not fed to you.
Other Goodies on the Menu: The "Can't Say No" Sundae, Frrrozen Hot Chocolate and the YuDuFunDu, a fruit and fudge concoction.
