Trendsetters Hair Salon

The WORST and most incredible experience! I choose this salon hoping they could fix what a Hair Salon School in Fayetteville (literally) messed up my hear. All I wanted was some Firered highlights on my dark brown hair. The stylist (?) offered to re-do the all process, covering the old copper highlight and create new ones. She advice to retouch the red color after 5-6 weeks. I agreed. At first appearance I was satisfied with the work I paid 120$. After 1 week the color on top had faded away, so I stopped at their shop just to ask if they could maybe recover the color. The person attend me was kind and told me to come back on 2 hours when the stylist was suppose to arrive. I waited. As I came back the young lady start making excuses, such as: she told me would fade away ( yes in 6 weeks), my hair are too dark that is why is not working, I wash my hair too hard ( twice), I blow-dry my hair too much ( I don't, cause are curly no need for it) and I should use the paraben free products ( I use Ion from Sally's since years)...she offered to apply a much dark red and be happy with it.I told her I couldn't believe what she was saying because I know people with black hair and have that color. For everyone else works, but not for me? At this point she put on an attitude! To LEAVE her chair and go find another stylist, how I dare to tell her I do not believe, she has a schedule and she has no time and finally that the owner told her to charge me at least 40$....I left and I stopped at Sally's I bought red color for 9$ ( thanks to the amazing sales person), I applied it my own and guess what? IS DID NOT FADE AWAY. I hope with all my heart, the stylist will never feel humiliated and treated with absolute no class as she treated me.

I've been going to trendsetters for 2 years now. I have medium blonde hair and frequently visit for highlights(every 2 months). I exclusively see Ashley Million(Warhime)! She does fantastic work and does exactly what I ask with my hair. I've never once left unhappy, and don't even need a blow dry to check the color. I'm that confident in her work, and also bring all 4 of my children to see her as she is very patient and quick!!! We're currently leaving Bragg and I'm totally bummed I cannot bring Ashley with me! I rated them 5 stars just because she is so awesome!

I had a great experience. being new in the area, it was a challenge to find a salon, let alone one where they took the time to find out what my ideas were and she made a few suggestions. the end result was awesom11e! I love my new hair style and it looks so much healthier! Thanks so much Rachel!! did an amazing job and made me a repeat customer! everyone was friendly and carried on conversations with their clients. It was a very welcoming setting. thanks for being so amazing! will be back again and again!

for both times I was there the place was empty...and I should had followed my guts...Lindsey was my stylist and she really didn't know what she was doing!!! cmmon just a simple straight hair cut...she couldn't do it right nor straight!!! if anyone else had a good experience, I'm really surprised...

I just tried this place out after reading the reviews here, and was very happy with Sue. She's the only one I interacted with, so I can't speak to the helpfulness of the rest of the staff, but I loved her. I usually have a hard time getting someone to really listen to what I'm saying vs. what they THINK I should be saying. I like a sort of cross between a pixie and a super-short graduated bob, with tons of texture, asymmetrical bangs and a few longer strands here and there. I have super-thick hair and a rather odd natural hairline that most stylists don't want to deal with -- they want to either shave the nape of my neck to the skin with the clippers or try to convince me to grow the hair there out longer than I like.. Sue gave me exactly what I asked for on the first try, and I couldn't be happier with my hair. She's not a big conversationalist, so if you want the "girlfriend experience" you might want to try someone else -- but I'm looking for good hair, not a new best friend.



I have no idea what the person who was complaining about the goth decor saw -- sure, there are black accents, but that goes for the vast majority of salons out there. The decor is definitely more Kirkland's than goth.



PROS: Sue listened to what I wanted and gave it to me. I got an appointment quickly, was seen on time, she didn't try to "upsell" me into more expensive services, and most importantly, I LOVE my haircut.



CONS: No footrests on the chairs, so average-to-short ladies' feet will dangle. Their credit card machine doesn't let you add in the tip on your receipt; you have to tell them how much you want added on there before they swipe it...and since it's your stylist that's the one ringing you up, that all seems pretty awkward to me

I have been going to Trendsetters for years. The interior is beautiful. The staff is real. They are friendly and helpful and I always feel like I get a great style at a great price. I wouldn't go anywhere else!
