The Family Medicine Center at Southern Regional AHEC serves the health care needs of families and individuals in Fayetteville and the surrounding areas. We have teams of experienced family physicians and resident physicians who are working towards their board certification in Family Medicine. Our family medicine physicians provide OB/GYN care for women as well as care for newborns, young children, adolescents, adults and geriatric populations. As a patient-centered medical home, our doctors work together to provide the best possible care focused around the patient. What makes us different from other primary care practices is that we have 26 primary care physicians. We have coordinated care with on-site pharmacists who also consult with patients. We also have an on-site medical library, an on-site marriage/family therapist and on-site lab and x-ray facilities. Our physicians are experienced in women's health care of abnormal pap smears by colposcopy, as well as other ailments specific to women's health care. We perform in-office procedures including Leep procedure, hysteroscopy, endometrial ablation and essure sterilization. We have certified nurses on staff. Our physicians offer vaginal delivery after cesarean sections. We provide the following services: • Comprehensive OB/GYN services • Prenatal & Delivery • Follow-Up for mother and child • Care for children and adolescents including immunizations and well-child visits • Adult Preventative Care • Mental Health Services • Osteopathic Manipulation Treatment We offer a complete in-office laboratory, ultrasound fetal assessment testing equipment, and osteoporosis screenings that also are performed in office.
