Sold a defective leap pad that was to be a Christmas gift (freezes while paying games, cuts off completely at the slightest nudge) and absolutely refused to resolve the issue. Not only was the customer service employee extremely rude, the manager was just as rude, if not worse! I even called before I went to the store and was told they could fix the issues and was instead greeted with rude behavior and my issue never did get resolved. I'll just stick to Wal-Mart from now on. At least I have a 50/50 shot at getting a reasonable person.



Beware of false promises, refusal to accept defective merchandise for return and delaying practices by all levels of Target associates and managers. Target sells electronics that are defective, refuses to accept them for returns, even when returned within 10 days, and working patiently with management to resolve the problem only results in being told that now too much time has passed.

Check out other reviews on the web. This is a very common practice for Target and the complaints out there are numerous. They may even be knowingly selling defective electronics merchandise and intentionally delaying the return process to hide behind this 30 day policy.

After speaking with 3 managers over a period of 3 months and receiving false promises that they will take care of this for me I was instructed to mail the item back to them. When I did so they again refused to acept it. I finally asked for the Corporate Offices and was given a number to Guest Services. A call to their Guest Relations line at 800 440-0680 immediately is recommended but likely not helpful. They told me they know of the problem and can't (or won't) do anything about it. In fact Norman at Guest Services asked my why I would buy electronics at Target in the first place. Wow! That said it all for me.

Shop with them - they will comp price even WalMart that has gotten poor with everything (and WalMart is now trying to copy Target - wonder why?)

Only thing I wish Target would have a SuperCenter so I could shop for everything there and then they could take everything from WalMart! Employees do not grumble as much all the time as WalMart's do either

I will shop Target any day!
