Kindergarten Kekskruemel is a home-based preschool located in the Patriot Park community, close to the Ramsey/Andrews intersection and the Goodyear plant. We are offering a variety of part-time programs to children between the ages of 9 months - 4 years. Our preschool is spread out on two separate rooms which are exclusively being used as such. While a traditional classroom is typically teacher-centered, our teaching philosophy is inspired by alternative methods of early childhood education, such as Montessori, Froebel and Reggio, which puts your child to the center of it all. We acknowledge the uniqueness and individual skills of each child, and we believe that play is not only a form of recreation for children, but the engine of real learning. We believe that playing can be fun and purposeful at the same time. We also believe that a child's most valuable years of brain development are between birth and the age of 6 years, giving them an incredible thirst for information and knowledge. For this reason, the program at Kindergarten Kekskruemel is underlined by a bilingual curriculum (German), since bilingualism has been found to enhance your child’s working memory, make him less likely to be distracted easily and make your child better at multi-tasking. Young children are remarkably good at learning new languages, which makes a bilingual preschool the perfect environment to start. With our low ratio of ~2:6 (2 teachers to 6 children), we are able to sustain an environment in which we all model respect for life, nature and each other. Each child gets the individual attention it needs in order to grow into an independent being, fully aware of his or her skills and abilities. Our program is intimate, creative and attentive, giving your child the opportunity to discover his own interests with the guidance of an experienced team of teachers. At Kindergarten Kekskruemel, everything from room set up over work material to activities and crafts are purposely designed, in order to provide your child with an environment that nurtures learning. The following programs are currently being offered at a m o n t h l y tuition rate: 2 mornings/week (Tuesday, Thursday) 8 am - 12 pm $180 /month 2 afternoons/week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) 2 pm - 5 pm $140 /month 3 mornings/week (Tuesday, Thursday) 8 am - 12 pm $240 /month 3 afternoons/week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) 2 pm - 5 pm $180 /month 5 mornings/week (Tuesday, Thursday) 8 am - 12 pm $320 /month 5 afternoons/week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) 2 pm - 5 pm $240 /month One-time fees: $50 Registration Fee /per family $60 Annual Supply Fee /per child per year Please note that we only enroll to the first day of each month, in order to keep our environment calm and without interruptions. We enroll a maximum of 2 children per group per month, which allows for a quick adjustment of your child and fast normalization of the group. Therefore, open spots are limited regardless of total capacity, and at times we may have a waiting list.
