I love this place. Occasionally it can be hit or miss. For instance the last time I was there I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and it was all dark meat which i hate and my husbands chicken dish was all white meat. Needless to say I liked his better so next time I would specify whether I want white or dark meat. Also, they have brought out the wrong rice before. But all that aside I LOVE the orange peel beef and the rib appetizer. They have some tasty drinks too. They also have lunch bowls until 4pm that come with a bowl of soup and are way cheaper than a dinner entree. This place is made for sharing - in fact they give you each a plate and put all the meals in the center of the table, so it's great for a group outing, trying new stuff, or saving $ by ordering fewer meals than people! What I really love about this particular location is the service and the location. Perfect dining spot after nice shopping experience at the Beverly Center mall.

You can't argue with the huge popularity of this place - it's an institution. The good news is that the food portions are VERY generous and pretty darned tasty. It's just not *great* - other Chinese restaurants in the Chinatown area can lay claim to that title. But the heck with semantics - you'll enjoy your eating experience, particularly if you get the very sweet slippery shrimp. If you eat at the restaurant, don't order one entree per person, unless you plan on taking a lot of food home. This is meant to be shared. So experiment, grab a few entrees and everyone have a taste. Fun. Be aware that the line to get in is typically very long, due to the popularity of the place. I prefer to order take-out, where I can enjoy Yang Chow food in my home with my friends. Always a fun treat. Our friends from London insist on us ordering Yang Chow food whenever they come to town!
This place is the best! Have been ordering from them for over 12 years and I highly recommend them, the x16 ( three flavor bbq chicken) is something you must try. Also i recommend the pad thai with the peanut sauce, and a x1 which is there orange chicken. The rice is so good always taste flavored and also i recommned asking for honey dressing for the rice its soo yummy! I have moved too far to order this but evertime im in town i always grab a plate. The only down fall about this place is they take about 45 mins to deliver, which is way worth it at the end and also lots of the delivery people ask for tip, I always tip anyways regardless but I dont think they should ask for a tip,lol thats rude
