I went to Esther May (which is an hour away from my home) to find a prom dress for my senior prom. They have a large selection of prom dresses, and I was lucky enough to find a gown for only $65. When they told me that alterations were only $15, I was thrilled. We purchased the dress in November and went back in April to have it altered. They were a week late getting the dress back and when we went to pick it up, the dress had been ruined. The seamstress lied about it and told us that we had to wait another two weeks before she got around to fix it!! This only left two weeks until prom! Also, we had to wait 2 hours for the seamstress to show up and she never once apologized for being late or for ruining the dress. The second time we went to pick it up, the dress was still not fixed. Not only did we lose $15 in horrible alterations, we lost gas in driving back-and-forth and time. The staff at Esther May were not the problem-- it was the seamstress.
