I got a new set of chopers!

Dr. Cole and his staff were absolutely great! Dr. Cole is the most gentle dentist I have ever experienced. I have a sensitive mouth and going to the dentist is not my favorite thing, but i must say I am more willing to back and see this Dentist over any other Dentist I have experienced. My dental work did take two visits b/c of lab work. Both times the experience was the same. Thumbs up to this Doc!

Dental Examination
Your regular checkup will also include a complete oral exam, including inspection of your teeth for decay, periodontal assessment for signs of gum disease, and a check of your existing dental work for signs of wear and tear from chewing, clenching, or grinding. Dr. Cole will provide an oral cancer screening to check for areas of concern. Finally, you will receive a thorough professional polishing for a clean, healthy smile.
X-rays
Oral Cancer Screening
Oral cancer screenings are one of the preventive services we offer. If Dr. Cole finds an area of concern, we can provide a biopsy to determine malignancy. If the findings are positive, Dr. Cole can refer you to a trusted colleague for treatment. It is important to screen for oral cancer and evaluate problems as soon as possible as the early stage disease is very treatable.

Teeth Cleaning
The best way to keep patient’s smiles whole and healthy is to combine daily tooth brushing and flossing with regular preventive checkups at Integrity Dental. In the past, patients only sought dental treatment to repair damage or relieve toothache pain. By visiting our office regularly, our team is able to diagnose and treat oral health issues in the earliest stages allowing us to offer the most conservative care. Our goal is to help patients avoid losing time and money on complex restorative care down the road by keeping their smiles whole. Each preventive appointment at our Farmington, NM practice includes digital, diagnostic x-rays, careful visual examination and screening, and a thorough professional teeth cleaning. At the end of each visit, patients sit down with Dr. James Cole to discuss any issues we found, and begin developing a plan for ongoing oral health treatment. At this time, the doctor will be happy to answer questions, and make recommendations for improving your oral health that in turn can affect your overall health.
Fluoride Treatment
At the first children’s dentistry visit, you can expect the doctor to do a quick visual examination. Depending on his or her age, your child might have X-rays taken so that Dr. Cole can view and monitor development. We also provide age-appropriate hygiene for children over the age of three and may recommend preventive children’s dentistry treatments such as dental sealants and fluoride varnish for an added layer of protection. Dr. Cole really is great with kids. He truly loves children!
Dental Sealants
As a dental hygienist, Angela provides preventive care for dental patients, including removal of plaque and calculus deposits from your teeth as well as examinations of your entire oral cavity, head, and neck areas for anything unusual. She also evaluates your gums and bone for the all too common periodontal disease or gingivitis. She takes X-rays, applies fluoride and sealants, and administers local anesthetic to patients. She has a responsibility to educate patients about their oral hygiene and show them how they can do a better job to prevent gum disease, cavities, and gingivitis. Originally from Bloomfield, she now lives in Farmington, and she's been in the dental profession for over 8 years. Angela has an associate’s degree in dental hygiene from San Juan College, and she's certified by the New Mexico Board of Dental Health Care. With a very gentle and cordial demeanor, she's very thorough and treats others with great care and respect. Angela loves helping people have a brighter smile. One of 7 children, Angela is married with a young son and another brand new baby boy. She enjoys being outdoors in nature participating in such activities as camping, hiking, running, and swimming. She also loves doing crafts, scrapbooking, and decorating. Most of all, Angela loves spending time with family and friends.

Fillings
To maintain the natural look of your smile, our general and cosmetic dentistry office does not use amalgam fillings. Instead, Dr. Cole chooses only tooth-colored fillings. In addition to blending with your smile, tooth-colored fillings are durable, often outlasting their metal counterparts. If you have old metal fillings and would like to replace them with composite resin tooth-colored fillings, Dr. Cole can remove and then replace them returning your all white smile.
Resin Composite
To start, Dr. Cole will use a shade guide to determine which composite resin color will best match the color for your tooth, allowing it to blend in seamlessly and naturally. Once chosen, he’ll lightly etch the surface of the tooth to roughen it and apply a condition liquid, creating a better surface for the resin to bond to.
Veneers
Porcelain veneers are made of ultra-thin sheaths of ceramic designed to slip over and bond to your existing teeth. Porcelain veneers have a luminescent quality that reflects light and mimics the look of natural teeth. Each set of veneers is designed to fit each patient’s unique look and desired style. Not only will you be able to choose the shade of white, Dr. Cole will also guide you toward the size and shape that will compliment your overall appearance best.
Crowns
To place a dental crown, Dr. Cole must first remove any decay that is present and then carefully reshape the remaining tooth structure. This is done to ensure the proper and comfortable fit of your dental crown. A temporary crown is put in place to protect your prepared tooth. The permanent crown is bonded into place at a second appointment.
Bridges
The name really says it all—a dental bridge is designed to bridge the gap in your smile that missing teeth leave behind. Root Canal Treatment
Your teeth are made up of several layers with hard enamel at the top, a second layer called dentin, and the soft inner pulp, commonly referred to as the nerve, which carries blood and nutrients to living teeth. When your tooth is compromised by a severe cavity or cracks to allow bacteria inside, infection can take hold causing inflammation, pressure, and pain. Root canal therapy is provided when decay has damaged or killed the tooth.

Deep Cleaning
We may recommend a number of different treatments for patients suffering from gum disease. In the early stages, more frequent professional cleanings may be adequate to restore oral health, but if the disease is not treated, we are likely to recommend more advanced treatments. Dr. Cole will usually begin by recommending our hygienists performing two deep cleaning services (half the mouth at a time for your comfort): scaling, the removal of plaque and tartar, and root planing, the smoothing of tooth roots to prevent future buildup.

Dentures
Partial dentures are often referred to as just partials. These tooth replacement prosthetics are used to fill the gaps in a smile following the loss of multiple consecutive or nonconsecutive teeth. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Gum Surgery
Dr. Cole and the hygienists at Integrity Dental provide gentle, thorough gum disease therapy. We proceed on a case-by-case basis, determining the appropriate treatment based upon the seriousness of the infection. You may only require more frequent routine cleanings. Dr. Cole or his hygienists may also provide scaling and root planing and antibiotics to clear infection below the gumline and smooth teeth roots to promote reattachment of the gums. Patients with acute cases of periodontal disease may require gum surgery to remove diseased tissue, along with the surgical removal of teeth.
Tooth Extractions
Dental crowns are complex restorations that fit over the top of damaged teeth to replace lost dental structure, prevent the need for tooth extraction. Dental crowns are available in a variety of materials. We offer gold crowns, porcelain bonded to metal, and all-ceramic restorations. The material we recommend will depend in large part on the size and location of the damaged tooth. Bone Grafting
The procedure for dental implants takes place over the course of several months. First, we will have to make sure your jawbone has sufficient density for the posts to successfully integrate with. If not, we will recommend a bone grafting procedure to boost volume.

Orthodontics
Many of our patients experience crowded teeth due to a small jaw. Adult patients may have nice straight teeth with just enough room until shifting occurs as third molars, often called wisdom teeth, begin to push their way through the gums, or you may have had orthodontics as a kid or teen and crowding has occurred. Some patients just have large teeth that wind up overlapping one another over time. Although little can be done to stop teeth from coming in crooked, you can correct the problem with orthodontic treatment.
Invisalign Orthodontics
In addition to comfort, Invisalign aligners are nearly invisible so you won’t be afraid to smile while you are in treatment. Because you can remove Invisalign to eat and drink, there are no restrictions. Enjoy popcorn, hard candy, and even gum without feeling guilty or worrying you are going to break a wire or pop a bracket. Best of all, you only have to visit our office once every 6-8 weeks to make sure treatment is on track. Just wear your aligners as directed, and enjoy a beautiful, straight smile in as little as six months.
Braces
Traditional bracket and wire braces move teeth into position using brackets and wires. The brackets are affixed to the fronts of teeth, and wires are used to place pressure on these brackets, shifting teeth into position. Instead of brackets and wires, Invisalign uses a series of clear, plastic alignment trays. Each set of aligners represent your smile one step closer to the desired end result. Each set of aligners is worn for about two weeks at a time. Then, you simply exchange them for the next set in the series. Every six to eight weeks, you’ll visit our dental office for a checkup where we’ll make sure your smile is moving according to plan. Every patient is different, but most people complete the entire Invisalign process in about a year.

Teeth Whitening
Integrity Dental offers two types of teeth whitening procedures. In-office teeth whitening typically takes a single appointment of about 1-2 hours. At-home teeth whitening treatments take a few weeks for maximum result, but can be applied when it is most convenient for you. Depending on the level of whitening you need, and what you are most comfortable with, Dr. Cole can help you decide which teeth whitening option is right for you.
