I don't have a clue what this doctor can do to help manage your pain. I've been on Norco 10 x4 daily (I was taken down from 6 a day). I'm so young at 35 that he wanted me to bring my mommy with me next time. I did just that and he seemed confused as to why I brought her along. I'm also on fentynal 75mcg and he said he doesn't care if I think it helps, it's all in my head, and that to keep pain at a tolerable level I would eventually have to take higher mcg patches. I'm confused, if it's all in my head it doesn't work so why would I have to go up on patches? I asked and begged for some type of solution. I told him I've had 2 nerve burnings, 2 nerve blocks, an epidural, and a back brace. He told me someone my age can't be in so much pain at only 35 and that there's nothing he can do to help me except to get me off all pain medicine. What? How would that work? My mom goes there as well and he dropped her down to 3 Norco 10 from 4 a day and cut her patch strength from 50 mcg to 25 mcg. So it's not just age he just doesn't believe in managing pain with meds that have worked for us for years. Don't go to him if you need real help managing your pain!
