After living nearby and bouncing from salon to salon, including South Lyon, Livonia, Northville and Farmington Hills, I went to Legato for a cut. I usually just get a mani or a pedi or buy Aveda products at Legato, but I had a gift certificate and figured I'd use it for a hair cut. My appointment was with Rachel. You don't even know how happy I was when she pulled up a chair to discuss what I wanted. Other stylists at other salons would always glance at the pictures and mutter "okay" while fiddling around their stations. Rachel SAT DOWN, looked at what I wanted and then proceeded to tell me how she thought she could achieve the style I wanted. I got to discuss how my hair behaves and further describe what I wanted. I have to admit, when she made the first cut, I just about had a heart attack, but once she was done, it was exactly what I wanted. I think I got nervous because no other stylist has had the nerve or the confidence to put such short layers into curly hair! The only thing, and this is small, is that she isn't that great at blowouts. I had to go home and redo my hair a bit after she blew it out, but, honestly, it wasn't that bad. I'd rather have a solid cut than a perfect blowout.
