Rodney's Repair

On 10/08/15 I hired Rodney Schanck of Wilton, Maineto install a heat pump system (3 indoor units and 2 condensers). I gave him a $2,800.00 deposit and was told that the system would be installed in about two weeks. I called in 2 weeks as I had not heard from Schanck and was told that the parts were on back order and it would be another 2 weeks before the parts would be in. Another 2 weeks I called and was told that one of the units had arrived and that he would be here the following week to install it. He did not show and did not call. I left several phone messages which were not returned. I finally reached him again and he did install one unit on 12/09/15 with the promise that the following week he would install the rest of the unit. Again, he did not show or call. The one time I reached him he said it had been too rainy and as soon as the weather cleared, he would be here. No show again. I reached him one more time and his excuse was that he had several customers waiting just as I was. I asked him to either return the balance of my deposit or deliver the parts. He was not agreeable to either. Since then I have left many more phone messages and sent several text messages, none of which were responded to. I have come to the conclusion that this individual is not reliable or honest and I would not recommend him as a business person.
