Mailbu Fitness

Malibu fitness is a gym on the decline. Gone is the Starbucks shop inside. Instead rented space for a massage parlor. The gym's free weight area was recently cut in half after a Giant wall was erected. The area behind the wall? Sold off for more rented space. Is the business hurting that badly? Other members complain and miss the space.



This is a dangerous as the area is now over congested and there is barely any space between the weight machines. It is not handicap accessible for many machines in its current set up.



When this place as GO Fitness it was clean, members had towel service, and working sinks in the men's room. Heck we even had shower stalls. (Those are gone now). The hours of operation keep shrinking and half the time there is no one at the front desk if you want to buy a drink or bar.



Most of all this gym can figure out what it wants to be when it goes up...trendy classes come and go. They get equipment that no one wants to use yet fail to replace the heavily sought after machines when they are worn down. Is it a family gym? Cross-fit? Some kind of gymnastics gym?



The owners are nice guys but that doesn't carry enough weight (pun intended). When this gym is compared to others in the surrounding area the price is not better, they don't offer as much facilities or activity as others and they keep taking away space and hours. Sad to say but true.
