Joe Potesta, grew up in Fairmont, WV. He stayed in his hometown to attend Fairmont State University, where he played baseball and received his BA in education. He then went to West Virginia University for physical therapy and graduated in 2016. He started working for Country Roads PT in February 2020. He is certified in functional dry needling and has special interests orthopedics and manual therapy techniques. When not at work he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, exercising, and watching WVU sports.

Aquatic Therapy
Aquatic therapy aids in the recovery or treatment of neurological disorders, spine pain, and musculoskeletal pain. The therapist conducts aquatic therapy sessions in a heated pool, which allows muscles and joints to relax. Being in the water helps to not only alleviate pain, but helps to regulate blood flow and increase your heart rate. The hydrostatic pressure created in the water assists in increasing the heart rate, and increases range of motion in otherwise stiff or immobile joints. The resistance in the water helps to tone muscles and improves muscle memory, making aquatic therapy a great treatment for those unable to exercise outside of the water.
