Owner chefs Craig and Kim Giesecke have taken the pub food menu to a place only New Orleans could accomplish: haute cuisine with a beer on the side, eaten at a bar stool. There creative use of fresh and local ingredients with unbounded imagination takes the idea of comfort food and turns it into bliss food. Whether your have something as simple as Kim's handmade guacamole at the World's Best Fish Sammich (a title that would easily stand any challenge from Brownsville to Key West) or something like the amazing St. Chuck Duck (Cabernet sauteed duck with currant tapenade, cheddar and blue cheeses and Granny Smith Apples on grill sourdough) or the Buddha's Temptation appetizer (blue cheese stuffed, bacon wrapped fried apricots), this is the kind of food that you live in or visit New Orleans for, and well worth the trip to it's off the beaten path Broadmoor location. Isn't finding places like this why you bought that I-Phone or Android?
When my two friends were in town from Denver for Labor Day weekend, one of my friends actually recommended we eat here. He's crazy about Mideast and Mediterrean foods. I'm not so much but I LOVED their food! The customer service is good too to say we went there to eat after 3 am. I ordered the fried calamari and my friend ordered a Greek salad it looked like and some hummus for us. Everything was superb! We even did the hookah and the hookah was super nice too. We had grape flavor ;). I will be making this one of my favorite local spots and will be back real soon :D. I highly recommend locals and tourists to try dining in here. Awesome food!
Good food, fast service, and friendly staff! I am from California and I ate here while in NOLA for the 2014 Essence Music Festival. I ordered the breakfast pork chops, eggs, and has brown potatoes. Excellent! I found this place while looking for the postal annex. Once they warm up to you, the staff is super friendly. I would definitely eat there during my next trip! Much love all the way from California.
