Appalachian Dental

Had implant done yesterday, expecting much pain after and was pleasantly suprised with none!!! Dr. and all were very kind and professional.

I was about to leave my feedback at yelp.com and then found this place full of positive feedbacks (five stars??? no way). Based on my own experience and many negative feedbacks left on yelp.com with detailed information, these reviews with five stars could not be true. I am strongly suspicious the source of these feedbacks. Thus, I decided to leave my feedback here.



Dr. Chang refused to accept my 5-day old X-Rays taken by my previous dentist and urged to take panorama X-Ray. He took a look at my tooth just for 15 seconds and made me wait outside over one hour. His receptionist, apparently his wife, spent long time to sell their dental plan to me. If I become a member of the plan, the the first visit with X-Ray would be waived and the cost for extract or other treatments would be cheaper. I declined because I became suspicious about their ethics since they urged me to take panorama X-Ray which was not necessar and also the way the lady was selling the dental plan was very fishy. I wanted to be done with them after the first visit. After I refused to become a member of their dental plan, they asked me to wait outside. I had to wait over 1 hour until the lady brought me in with a quote for extraction. The price was outrageous!!!! Not only the price for the extract but also panorama X-Ray and the first visit fee. He only looked at my tooth for 15 seconds!!!! Of course, I decided not to get my tooth extracted and left the clinic after paying the outrageously charged X-Ray and Visit fee.



After I came back home, I looked for information about him. I found that Dr. Chang previous practiced in Aurora, CO and it was very brief. He was selling his dental plan to patients there, too. I became curious how handled the patients enrolled in his dental plan (monthly payment expecting cheaper cost for future services). Now I have just heard the Applachian Dental is closing soon. His practice at Applachian Dental was also brief (I believe it was less than 3 years). No wonder he needs to keep on moving around with his attitudes and business ethics. He gave 30-day notice to his patients but I wonder if the patients enrolled in the dental plan would be reimbursed for the payments. Wherever he moves for a new business, I hope his new patients can find information about his prior practices.

The whole office staff makes you feel welcome and at ease. They take the time to explain the procedure before and during the treatment.

The doctor and staff have been wonderful in providing the dental service to my 3 young daughters. They started with braces and now were moving on. We are very satisfied.

Very good dentist- Always on time, very good and smiley dr. and front desk ladies. Very nice and clean office, in addition to the good service and care. Thank you very much, my kids love to come here always just for the small gift they get each visit. Thank you.

This dentist office is so great every time I come in. From beginning to end the staff and service is phenominal and so accommodating.

I am typing this dictation on behalf of my 80 year old mother... "WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL. WONDERFUL....ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! In my 80 years I have NEVER had such a pleasant dental experience. I arrived on time for my appointment and was taken right back. Dr Chang was so gentle I even fell asleep while he did 2 root canals on my teeth AND ONCE HE WAS DONE, I REMAINED COMPLETELY PAIN FREE! The young ladies there were so polite and attentive. They set a real example of how to treat someone with care and respect. Everything about my experience here was absolutely WONDERFUL!"

I've been to this office about 4 times now and each time the staff and service has been great. I will be back soon for my 6 month cleaning!

Appalachian Dental Office provides very good care and has all the up-to-date equipment. The dentists make sure that visits are always pain-free and the process is not intimidating at all.

The surgery to get my 2 wisdoms pulled went very smooth, pain-free, and rather quickly. I would recommend this dentist to anybody. Also the office itself is very clean and relax full with very kind dentists and assistants who took the time to give me every detail with what the procedure would be like... As well as moral support that really helped ease my anxiety. Wonderful place.

Excellent staff. I do not like going to the dentist, my blood pressure was out of control. I had to go because I cracked a tooth. The hygentist and dentist made you feel very comfortable Every one makes you feel comfortable. I hadn't been to the dentist in years but now I will visit every 6 months like I'm supposed to.

Been going to Appalachian Dental for a couple of years now. Dr. Kang is great and everyone who works there have been very nice, polite and maybe most importantly effecient. I look forward (as much as anyone can at a Dentist's office) to continuing to go there.

I was very pleased with Dr. Chang, he took the time to explain everything before doing it and was very gentle. The staff was very friendly and professional throughout my procedure. Who says you have to fear going to the dentist? Certainly not with Dr Chang and his team.

My dental visit with Dr. Chang and his staff has been always pleasant and wonderful. Everybody is so friendly and courteous. They are willing to go out of their way to help me out with any question or concern I may have. The office is very clean and cozy. I have total confidence in Dr. Chang and his staff and would recommend his office to anyone I know.

They always do a great job and I am very impressed with the technology in the office. Great and professional. Better than I expected. I expected to have or to be in more pain but I dont.

Staff were very courteous. They make you feel very welcome and comfortable. One of the first places I've been where the dentist does the cleaning and not just a quick check of the teeth.
