Over 45 years ago God lead a man named Robert Knutson to come to the Island of Oahu a start a ministry in the town of Waipahu. He, along with the early members chose the name "Lanakila" for the church. Lanakila means "victory" in the Hawaiian language. What a perfect name. Christ came to earth, died on a cross and rose from the grave. Whosoever will call upon him will be saved and is victorious over the penalty of sin. Whether you are visiting the Islands or call Oahu home we would like to extend a warm invitation to you and your family. Join us where the Word of God is taught and opportunities to grow in your Christian walk are abundant. Lanakila Baptist Schools has been educating young people for over 40 years. It is our desire to provide an environment where young people can excel academically as well as grow in respect of God, His Word, and the community that they live in. As a Christian educator we recognize that we partner with parents to provide students with an excellent education with opportunities to succeed.
