Teeth Cleaning
Your child should visit the dentist every six months for regular dental cleanings and checkups. We recommend fluoride treatments twice a year along with cleanings to keep teeth their strongest. Tooth sealants are also recommended because they "seal" the deep grooves in your child's teeth, preventing decay from forming in these hard-to-reach areas.
Fluoride Treatment
Dental Sealants
More than 80% of cavities happen in the deep pits and grooves found on back teeth. These pits can be so deep and so small that even our toothbrush bristles can’t reach them, which makes it nearly impossible to prevent cavities there by good brushing alone. By placing sealants on these surfaces, we are nearly 99% effective in preventing the most common type of dental cavity: groove-type cavities.
Space Maintainers
If your little one loses a baby molar due to injury or decay, our doctors may recommend placement of a space maintainer. New technology allows for easy placement with a customized fit that is comfortable in your child’s mouth, is easy to brush, and does not interfere with eating.

Fillings
The research has shown that more than 30% of silver/mercury amalgam fillings on baby teeth fail within 18 to 20 months. Treating the same tooth twice is both expensive for the parent and unpleasant for the child.
Resin Composite
The doctors at All Kids Dental utilize state-of-the-art technologies and techniques to correct tooth decay. Research shows that bonded (composite resin) restorations, particularly in baby teeth, are much stronger and last more predictably than the old silver amalgam (mercury) fillings that most people are familiar with.
Crowns
If your child's permanent tooth has been knocked out, find the tooth and rinse it with water (no soap), taking care to only touch the crown of the tooth (the part you can see when it's in place). Place the tooth in a clean container with milk. Call us immediately and/or head to the hospital. If you act quickly it's possible to save the tooth.
Restorative Dentistry
At All Kids Dental, the vast majority of children easily tolerate restorative dentistry using local anesthetics with the aid of supplemental nitrous oxide administration. However, an in-office sedation approach is sometimes helpful in accomplishing care with very young children or those children with substantial dental need.

Pulpotomy
The two common forms of pulp therapy in children’s teeth are pulpotomy and pulpectomy. The purpose is to treat the tooth so it will be comfortably maintained until normal exfoliation time, typically age 11 to 12.
Root Canal Treatment
Decay progresses much more quickly in baby teeth and can enter the pulp before your child complains of a toothache. When this happens, a “nerve treatment,” “baby root canal,” “pulpectomy,” or “pulpotomy” is required in order to save the tooth.

Braces
Lasers allow us to do the same procedure, with little or no anesthesia, no stitches, and in a fraction of the recovery time. Older children can benefit from lasers to snip heavy frenums in conjunction with braces, adjust gumline asymmetries, or expose blocked-out teeth. All kids appreciate having complex procedures done with lasers because it’s quick, easy, and pain-free.

General Dentistry
Dr. Kyle graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2007 where he met his wife, Dr. Jayme. After practicing general dentistry for one year, he completed his specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin where he was selected as the Chief Resident. After completion of his specialty certification, his educational accomplishments were supplemented with board certification from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
