Defensive Firearms Instruction

I recently attended the unarmed/armed classes for future security employment and was 100% impressed with the training and education I received from Donovan and his trained staff. The information was not only helpful for security but home self defense as well in regards to decision making, level of force and ethical situations. He is an excellent trainer on the qualification range and I improved my confidence and shooting skills tremendously. I also elected to take the baton and handcuff training and felt that Donovan excelled in his teaching and application of these classes. Anxious for more classes in the future!!! Thanks Donovan!!

The Concealed Handgun Licensing course that I went through at DFI was awesome! Donovan Beard explained everything clearly and displayed a good knowledge base and could answer any questions that I had. Getting my Concealed Handgun permit couldn't have been more fun. These guys are great I highly recommend going through DFI to get your permits!

I took my DPSST Unarmed Security Course through Defensive Firearms Instruction and I could not be happier with the quality of the training I received. I had neither prior experience nor much exposure to the security world prior to the class, but Donovan's extensive knowledge and experience in the industry made me feel well prepared to work my first site. I can honestly say that, in my opinion, Defensive Firearms Instruction will give you more bang for you buck than you could hope for!

When I entered the DPSST Unarmed Security Course, I thought there couldn't be anything else that I could learn from it, but to my surprise, I left with even more information than I had anticipated. The instructor was clear and informative about everything that he talked about. He answered any question that anybody may have had throughout the DPSST Unarmed Security Course. I really enjoyed learning about the different things that I could do. Defensive Firearms Instruction was the best possible place that I could have visited for my future profession. I would recommend Defensive Firearms Instruction to everyone. They have many other classes to choose from, not just DPSST Unarmed Security Course! You will really be thankful for the hands on experience that you will get from the instructor while he is instructing and explaining all of the information about the class.

I manage a team of security officers for a large local company. I have used Defensive Firearms Instruction several times over the past 2 years for security training. The instructor, Donovan Beard, has always provided excellent training and is always willing to go the extra mile. Donovan is very easy to work with and has been willing to customize specific class material to my company. His DPSST armed class is the best I have ever taken and goes above and beyond the state minimum requirements. His knowledge in this field is impressive.

The classes are great for beginners, intermediate, and advanced students, and it was great seeing women taking these classes too. No intimidating atmosphere...just safe, educational, and FUN! The tactical firearm courses are like going to Disneyland for guys!

I had a very good experience with Defensive Firearms Instruction. It is a really great company. The instructor (Donovan Beard) is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The training was complete and thorough and very well done. No cutting corners here. Very fun, informational classes. I have taken classes from other companies and this company is better by far. They really put in the time to make sure you understand the curriculum and training, personally working with you as you need it. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for DPSST armed/unarmed, concealed carry license, tactical handgun, carbine, shotgun courses, baton/oc/handcuff certification and even more.
