This is in response to the horrible review that (Billsmith12345) wrote about Dr. Lim: (Please read his review below to know what I am talking about) I felt I needed to say something and respond to the moron that wrote a bad review on Dr. Lim... In all honesty your probably in your 40-50's and have never seen a chiropractor, never adjusted your spine, probably hardly ever exercised, yet you expected Dr. Lim to work a miracle and fix the years of abuse on your body that was never fixed in the first place. From the sounds of it, if you are contemplating surgery then you were most likely already suffering extreme subluxations which cause pinched nerves, spinal bone spurs, and spinal arthritis before you even walked in to his doors... Have yet to see a candidate for back surgery with out something serious like that. Plus you said you had "Mild back pain", but now your scheduled for surgery!? Give me a break. If you want me to point you to the research that shows that chiropractic can help improve the function of your spine I can... But you let me know what research shows a chiropractic adjustment can cause you to need surgery after "mild back pain". Somehow your forgetting about all that pain you had and the reason you went to him in the first place, then after only 5 visits you openly accuse Dr. Lim as being the source of all your pain and suffering and your so bad that you would need surgery. A bit drastic don't you think.... C'mon man, anyone know's that's a horrible way to treat a doctor that was only trying to HELP YOU and fix the problems that YOU did to your own body... Your injuries, your body, your responsibility to take care of, your responsibility to LEARN something about how the body works, your fault. Also, for you to insinuate that he is a pusher and just looking to get your money is ridiculous. God forbid that a doctor with 8+ years of schooling want to charge for his services and fees, while trying to make YOUR life a little easier. (Sarcasm) Go to your nearest hospital, go by ambulance, have back surgery, and then tell me what your bill is and if your happy about that!? Or, you might be someone who just craps on the health care system by getting government health care and you act as if its a right for the government and tax payers to pay your massive hospital bills. (NOTE: In no way am I against gov. health care for the people who need. I want to help anyone who can appreciate that they have anything at all, which is more than a 1/3 of the world can say for themselves.) Either way I don't see you yelling at the medical doctors or all the previous treatments and medications you tried to help your pain in the first place, (because I highly doubt your first thought to get help was walk into Dr. Lim's) Take some responsibility for your life instead of pissing on other people that can't work a miracle for you. And if your still in pain I hope you might finally realize that you actually have to DO SOMETHING to work and get your body feeling better. No magic pill, no magic surgery, no magic treatment that's an overnight fix. Your body is already the miracle and you should have stuck with the treatments... ___________________________________________________________ I wrote this because I was in a similar situation. Reoccurring neck and back pain with severe headaches. Surgical consults with many different doctors. But I fought that urge to blame Dr. Lim after 2 weeks and listened to his advice. Not just listen, but actually follow what he tells me to do in regards to a "Wellness" lifestyle. I stuck with the treatments at Dr. Lim's, I followed his advice and changed some of my old habits, and I could not be feeling this good today with out his services. Don't scare people away from someone who can truly help, as long as your willing to help your self! -Ashley

About 2 years ago i was in a moderate car accident. The weeks following the accident I was in excruciating pain. Sever whiplash and I felt really down because I just couldn't go about my day as I could before. The pain was shooting down my spine so I did what most do... I went to the emergency room. Like many of you know I am sure, they sent me on my way after 3 hours with a pain perscription and told me to follow up with my primary care physician. Guess what the primary care physician said?? He basically gave me 3 options... Pills, big needle, or surgery. Yippee! :( At that point I got really depressed and searched for another solution. Shortly after beginning my search I came across one of Dr. Lim's flyer's for a free dinner health talk. Said something about helping chronic pain so I said "What the hell, ill check it out." I didn't know what I was getting myself into, but come to find out he introduced himself as a local chiropractor. During his talk which was about 40 mins he gave me a new way about dealing with your health and taking care of the body. I was blown away because it seemed so simple yet I know NO ONE thinks like this when it comes to health care. I signed up for a free consultation that night. Later that week I went to his office and Dr. Lim & staff was very friendly. They took my information and within about 15mins I was having my consultation with Dr. Lim. I am not going to lie, when I first saw the prices I was skeptical, but after my emergency room bill and my thinking of how much surgery would be, I could see why his prices made sense. Bottom line I was in so much pain I went for it. I had to. Once the treatments began i was in his office on a consistent basis. I even attended his other health talks that he has at his office. It was so great that i was getting the education as well as the chiropractic care. I truly saw how once we had my body working properly and aligned, then it could begin to heal the CAUSE of my pain. After 3 weeks my pain was improving but I still had episodes of really bad shooting pains and numbness. I would even still wake up some nights. I told Dr. Lim about my doubts and concerns and he assured me that this stuff takes time. He told me this concept that i never forgot.... he said "John, if you never took care of your teeth, never went to a dentist, hardly cleaned them your entire life, how do you think your teeth would be? what kind of shape would they be in?"... You see his point to me was that this is what people do to their spine and bodies. They spend their entire lives NEVER addressing their structural/spine issues and when things finally blow up (Lots of pain), they somehow think they can get better with a pill and that it is going to be instant chiro relief. He reiterated that you have "beaten" up your body for 30+ years, you shouldnt expect your body to be perfect in 2-3 weeks. "true healing" is a process and shouldn't be rushed. After that I was kind of bummed...You mean i have to wait longer!? Even though I was still a bit skeptical I stayed with his program and finished up with my treatments... Guess what happend? Over the course of 2 months My pain gradually got less and less until there was NONE! 2 years later I KNOW what he said was right...Once we get the body functioning properly, it will heal properly. Am I saying I NEVER feel bad and I am always perfect...? NO, but I am saying that when things do feel a little off they are not that bad, I watch my 7 habits to health that Dr. Lim told me, and usually am good to go in a day. Its awesome...No one I know right now can say that. :) I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Lim....I am certain that if I didnt go to him I would just continue to relive all my old injuries over and over again. Looking back, he could have charged me ten times more! :) THANK YOU DR. LIM!
I am currently a patient of Dr. Hoon Lim, a practicing chiropractor for the past 27 years. He is highly respected, with Christian ethics, who deeply cares for the well-being of his patients with physical and spiritual values. Yet, I believe two disgruntled patients placed unfair complaints against him on Yelp. My experience with Dr. Lim was very satisfactory, because the nerve pains in my head are relieved, my knee pains and shoulder pains have disappeared, and the neuropathy in my feet has improved tremendously. The problem with false accusations is that you never get to hear the other person's side of the story. Well, this is the other side of the story.
