        Not bad

        As far a grocery stores goes; this Von's is okay. The staff is super friendly and the store is clean. They do not have the quality of sales that I am use to though.

        club card

        I went to your store on 1/30/09 on E. Valley pkwy, Escondido,Ca. I signed up for your club card about 2 weeks earlier. I was in a different car on 1/30/09 and did not have my club card with me. I proceeded to buy some groceries and came up to the register and she asked me for my club card which I did not have.I gave the cashier my phone # which was not in your system yet.The cashier said there was nothing she could do.I asked if they had a card for people in this situation? She said "no".I left my groceries and went across street and bought same groceries,NO HASSLES. In Lake Havasu where we moved from,there is a store chain called "Basha's". They have the same club card system(where you get discounts with card) if you forget your card or lost your card or phone number didn't work they had a card behind counter they used so you can still recieve the great savings anyway. They also have an override number they use. With the economy so bad right now you think as big of a chain as Von's ,they would have the intelligence to figure out how to help someone who forgets thier card or thier phone number does'nt work, instead of sending them out the door with nothing.When I went to Ralph's across the street the cashier said that was the second bad thing she heard about Von's that day.I will tell everyone I know not to shop Von's anymore. I know a few people will not break your store,but at least we don't have to deal with the embaressment of leaving my groceries behind.

        my favorite grocery store

        This is my #1 store to shop in; a bit disappointing at times when they run out of things that I really must have. Their bakery is wonderful too!
