Best Italian food you will find at a restaurant in the Southern U.P.

Prices were good. Food was decent. Service was good. Atmosphere was abhorrent because of the older worker there, who was speaking very loudly on the telephone to a family member for quite a while (just chit-chatting). Settling the bill with the older guy there (possibly an owner or manager) made this one of the worst dining experiences ever, which led me to write my first-ever online review.

This is the type of restaurant where you pay upfront on your way out (very common in the area). I had a $10 certificate that I purchased through a local radio station "shopping show" (something I do commonly and have never had any issues before). The older guy refused to accept the $10 certificate, even though I very clearly (to anyone with common sense) abided by all terms and conditions of the certificate. The older guy became so frustrated since he could not follow my line of reasoning with the certificate. He was quick to call the police to "let them handle it." I am stubborn, which is why I was fine to wait for the police and talk through the issue further (even though I knew this was a waste of their time and they wouldn't be able to settle the matter). The police refused to take a side, which is understandable. As the officer said to the older guy, "I am not a lawyer."

This older guy was obviously of lower intelligence and he eventually started insulting me, personally, even though I agreed to bypass using the certificate and paid the bill with credit card. If this older worker was not an owner, I surely hopes he loses his job soon. He was incompetent as a manager, if that were his role, and knows absolutely nothing of customer service.

On our last visit it took 45 minutes to get our food & we had to keep flagging down our waitress to get refills on our drinks! When finally getting our food it wasn't even hot!

We ordered italian dishes which were served lukewarm, garlic bread was not very warm either, also had a salad which was a spring mix with a quarter of a tomato served before the meal. For the amount of food you received the prices were high.
