A few years ago I met Missy Twohig, owner of Sacred Piercing and piercer extraordinaire, when she was working at another location and pierced my nose. She really impressed me with her knowledge and abilities at that initial meeting and I felt very comfortable with her. A few years later I went back to that location to have my ear cartilage pierced and discovered that Missy no longer worked there. I went ahead and had my cartilage pierced anyway, and even though the piercer was competent there was not the same "clicking" that had been present with Missy. When I was ready to have more cartilage piercings done, I happened to come across a business card for Sacred Piercing at the Whole Foods Co-Op and there was Missy's name. I was ecstatic! Originally my intention was to have three piercings done but I ended up requesting/receiving six. Missy was meticulous not only in measuring and maintaining the same distance between my new piercings that was between my first two, but also in her explanations and ability to prepare and relax me during the porcedures. Even though the gauge of these piercings is larger than the other two I had, there have been fewer problems this time around as well. I also must comment that Sacred Piercing has a much wider selection of jewelry available to choose from actually on premises as well as catalogues that can be ordered from than I have experienced elsewhere. Overall I would definitely rate my entire experience at Sacred Piercing as AWESOME and would not only not hesitate to return for future piercings, but I would absolutely reccomend Sarcred Piercing to anyone contemplating peircings of any kind! THANK YOU MISSY FOR EVERYTHING !!!

I cannot recommend Sacred Piercing enough. I decided after wanting to get it done for years to get my cartilage pierced on my left ear. I REALLY have an issue with needles, but I wanted to get this done right and not end up with lots of scaring or damage from someone piercing it with a gun. Missy let me point out where I wanted my piercing and went through everything with me. The piercing itself barely hurt, much much less than I thought it would, and Missy made sure to tell me to keep breathing. I might have passed out if she hadn't told me to keep breathing and talking to me about breathing. I have a huge needle phobia but Missy made the piercing process much smoother than even a shot at the Dr's office. She made sure to let me fully recover and even had some juice for me and only when I told her that I was totally ok and she believed me would she walk me through the aftercare process. She provided me with the sea salt to use and made sure that I understood what and how to do it. She was sure to make me feel that if I had any question to stop back or call her and she gave me three different pamphlets/papers with their phone number on it. This is by far the best piercing experience I've ever had and it cost the same as getting it done at a shady pagoda in the mall. If you're contemplating getting anything pierced, go to Missy first and she'll make you feel right at home in her salon.
I was very nervous about getting my nose pierced. I researched a lot until i found such a calm and nice place, that seemed like a place that wouldn't make you feel rushed or not cared for. I walked in and was immediately greeted by the staff, she quickly asked if she could help with anything and showed me a large variety of jewelry to choose from. I was then offered a beverage and the waiting area was very cool and relaxing there was a lot of paintings to look at and books of Missy's work. Theres only one piercer so it took longer but it was worth it. She was great about answering questions. When she was pushing the needle through she was working with me and telling me breathe in and out. She took her time and was soooo nice! The needles were sterile and one time use only, so was everything else, she immediatly threw the tools away. She took the time to explain the steps in cleaning and the procedures and cautions that should be kept. I was sooo impressed. She is sooooooo nice. The business is clean, welcoming, and calming. They offer so much more than just piercing, they have massages, branding, and even henna tattoos! But it was just a piercing i got out of the experience, i came out with friends.
