If you find yourself in this hospital for any reason - run. My wife had a knot in her intestine that required immediate surgery. She was in the 10th degree of pain. we begged and pleaded for the surgery (which we found would be done by a rent-a-doctor). There are no doctors at this hospital except the liar that runs the place. After 6 days of incredible pain and a padding of the bill with every kind of test and x-ray five or six times a day, finally the surgery was set after another 2 day wait. The surgeon apparently could not read the plethora of x-rays that were taken and cut 5 places in her abdomen searching about for the problem. When we got the hospital reports the liar-in-charge wrote that we had declined immediate surgery. We reported them to our insurance company who made an investigation into the claims that resulted in our favor. After it was all over we realized how incredibly lucky we were that my wife lived through this.

Overall
Rating for Encino Hospital

I am an RN of 30 years hospital based. I rate this hospital a big 0. They have very dangerous techniques. Their techs are always either texting or on Facebook. They should be fired to see an employee using their cell phone. This is a horrible hospital and should be closed down.

Overall
OR patient care

I had surgery at the outpatient surgical center. I have to say that the preop nurse was very nice. I was very unhappy with my operating nurse and technician. The anesthesiologist didn't bother to access my chart and seemed very rude when he walked into the OR. I don' t even know what his name was. He didn't say a word to me. Next thing you know i was waking up in recovery with bronchial spasms and respiratory had to give me a breathing treatment due to my asthma. Something thathat anesthesia probably didn't take the time to interview me or even check my lungs before he put me to sleep. I would recommend this hospital to any of my loved ones. Very unprofessional OR Staff. I also remember thanking respiratory for the breathing treatment when they arrived and the technicians's redponse was " don't thank me now. Thank me when we're done." What type of response was that?! Very unhappy with the quality of patient care given to me. Wouldn't want to have surgery there ever again. So much for there Mission Statement.

Overall
excellent

If you want immediate service then this is the emergency room to visit, I had to bring my friend to the emergency for her ongoing sciatica problems to due to a previous accident and when we arrived she was seen and taken out of her pain and discharged all within 30 minutes.... Their motto is " be seen by an emergency room doctor within 20 minutes " and I can honestly say that is true.. On top of the fast and excellent service the doctors and nusring staff were awesome, I was reluctant at first when we arrived only because the parking attendent handed me a ticket and the last emergency room i had went to a few years back actually Glendale Memorial charged me 8 dollars for parking I was trying to help my mom by taking her to the emergency room and they actually charged me for parking i was already worried about my mom and on top of that all I had to pay for parking totally ridiculous They would not even validate my parking , But not Encino hospital they validated my emergency room parking ticket for the whole day, I can honestly say that this is the best Hospital I have ever been too and i have been to alot due to the fact that I lost both of my parents 3 years ago to cancer so as you know i have been to the energency room alot , unfortunetly not this hospital though I only wish that All hospitals can be as efficent and polite as Encino hospital....... I could not wait to get home to leave this message on here for anyone that is curious about visiting the emergency room department at this hospital....... so GREAT JOB ENCINO HOSPITAL TO YOU AND YOUR STAFF...........
