A Mother's Haven is truly a haven for new moms! The first time I went there I was pregnant with my first child and completely overwhelmed with all I needed to do and purchase. The women who helped me were so helpful, nice and truly caring! I didn't feel like I was being sold on items as much as they were educating me about everything - pumps, nursing bras, slings, car seats, stroller - even baby bottles! They had all the things I was looking for that the teenager at Babies R Us couldn't educate me about. Their easy attitude was a pleasure not like the Pump Station where the people were pretty snobby to the point I will not go back there.
I rented a pump from A Mother's Haven as well as have taken many classes there. Their rates are better than most and they even called to remind me when my rental period was coming due - one less thing for a crazed new mom to remember! Their classes are outstanding. My husband really enjoyed our prenatal classes. I participated in the Mother's Gathering classes, which became my life line. The women I met in the group have become dear friends I will have for life and the instructor is so knowledgeable and non-judgmental. That's what I really like about A Mother's Haven - people are kind and non-judgmental, you don't find that many places in LA.
I am pregnant with my second and can't wait to take the second time moms group there. I take prenatal yoga when I can and love to see all the great products that have helped me on my mommy adventure. I would NEVER go anywhere else!

Mother's Haven is so not full service. The Pump Station is way better-go there. I rented a pump here for 3 mos and decided to switch over to the Pump Station for my next 180 day rental. Mother's Haven is like an uneven not quite professional operation. Mother's Haven has less favorable rental rates and extension policy than the Pump Sation. Also, Mother's Haven people are perfectly nice, but are ineffective, unreliable when it comes to customer service-several times they never called me back (though they said they would) when I needed another breast pump part or a different breast pump. Also, they push you to purchase as much as possible when in the store-admittedly they have beautiful high end things-but then they don't take American Express. What is up with that? A high end store should take all major credit cards. Bottom line-they don't value or try to make things easier on the customer. I had a much nicer experience at the Pump Station.
