Cottman Transmission and Total Auto Care

I dropped the van off on Monday August 12th 2013. it took till Fri August 17th 2013 to get the approval from the warranty company. and today is August 21st and my van still ain't complete

Stay far away from them the lied about my car not being covered by the factory! After I had an issue with the transmission and when I took to the dealer they showed me cottman put in the wrong part and they new it since some of the screws did not line up. Stay away

An experience I will never forget. . .I have never in my years been ripped off like I have been by the people who call themselves experts / specialists. . . they quoted me one price and ended up twice as much. I could have gotten a brand new trans full warranty for $2800 and instead got a reman which I did not authorized for $2350 not to mention labor and other expenses.. . .plus they won't tell me where the trans came from nor give me my old trans-parts for decoration. I have reported this location to the better business bureau, the attoney general, channel 10 news investigators. . .I want justice for what they did to me. I have been without a car for 43 days and they could care less. People sorry just doesn't cut it. . .they said it would take one week; parts had to be ordered and a day to rebuild. . .AVOID this location; Cottman should close this place down!

They are an absolute disgrace!! They "re-built" my transmission a month ago and it has failed twice already. Both times I have had to pay for a tow and rental car and they tell me it is not their problem. They are complete amateurs and do not know anything about cars. Do not ever take your car there!!!!

The previous review is absolutely correct. Wish I'd read it before I took my car there. In addition to their deceptive way of doing business, they do not know how to properly diagnose a transmission problem. They are "parts swappers", meaning that they just throw EXPENSIVE parts (and don't forget the labor) at your car hoping that one of them solves your problem. But that's another thing...they conveniently "lost" the old parts they took out of my tranny, so I couldn't even be sure that they did ANYTHING to my car (except charge me $2500). And my car still does the exact same thing it was doing BEFORE I brought it to them. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!
