Welcome to Elmhurst Yoga Shala. We offer a wonderful selection of drop-in classes including many varieties and styles of yoga, Pilates classes, yoga for infants, children and teens, prenatal yoga and childbirth education. Our classes are taught in a clean, new, spacious studio, on beautiful floating wood floors with natural light. All mats and props are provided to help you experience a safe and peaceful place to begin a new yoga practice or to challenge and further explore an advanced practice. Daily group yoga classes are offered for all levels, including classes for the beginner and several classes for experienced students only. We also offer private yoga sessions, for more detailed instruction, as well as yoga therapy. Elmhurst Yoga Shala is owned and staffed by certified, experienced, and dedicated teachers. Our teachers are some of the Chicago area's most inspiring and knowledgeable. They provide genuine expertise in all aspects of yoga, Pilates, and childbirth education. Each teacher brings their gifts from unique backgrounds of in-depth study to offer students a rich, creative, and compassionate class experience. No matter which class you choose, the teachers at the Shala will guide you safely and progressively through each stage of your development, help you to take time with your practice, and help you to remember that wherever you are is the best place to be. Elmhurst Yoga Shala opened in 2002, and has grown into a friendly and open community that values authentic instruction, individual attention, and a relaxed atmosphere. Our focus is on helping you improve your overall health. We are dedicated to inspiring people to live healthier, more fulfilling lives by offering a wide range of classes that are accessible and affordable. Classes are on-going and most are on a drop-in basis and can run as little as $10.00 a class. We also offer workshops, a Women's Spiritual Circle and Kirtan to enhance and compliment your practice and your path. At the Shala, we welcome everyone no matter what life stage or body type.
