Merchant's Tire and Auto Service Center

hese guys broke my car. They had my car serviced oil change and rear breaks done. They had to make a few "test drive around the area to and decided its ok. 2 months later my car broke in the middle of the highway. The engine oil cap popped off without me knowing and yeah I had to either pay 4.5 thousand dollars for a new engine or buy a new car. Yep, had to buy a new car. It was a honda civic, I had no trouble with that car. It was my first time to have it serviced here because i then had just moved in the area. It cost me a lot of money and so much trouble. Considering you have to pay a lot of money for their substandard service, they will put your car and your life at risk. Do your self a favor, DONT come here.

DO NOT COME HERE! YOU WILL REGRET IT AND WILL BE PUTTING YOUR CAR AND YOUR LIFE AT RISK!

I went in for an oil change and brake pad change(they installed the wrong brake pads for my car, making my brakes seize up and almost lost control of my car), which should have taken no more than and hour or 2 max, took over $300 and 5 days. And all the "manager" Jim has to say is "mistakes happen in life" in a very condescending tone. No compensation was given to me for wasting my time and money. I only received an apology from the mechanic that worked on my car and Tony the service manger. I described Jim as the "manager" in quotations because he is a sad and pathetic excuse for a manager. He isn't the slightest bit educated in how to run a business nor customer service. He couldn't even order brake pads for a car with full descriptions correctly. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! Unless of course Jim gets fired and Tony becomes manager.

I took my car to Merchants to have my tires rotated, balanced and aligned. After picking up the car I noticed the wheel shoot violently at highway speeds. When I returned they gave me some excuse about the weights falling off, and after leaving me car there for another 4 hours I picked it up only to notice the SAME problem. One the 3rd trip the wheel shaking went away, but days later I noticed that when they rotated my tires they put them on the WRONG SIDE of the car (which for directional tires is very dangerous). So I went back AGAIN, and instead of fixing the problem right away they made me leave the car all day. The manager did not care at all about the problems I was having, and just wanted to get rid of me. I will NEVER go back.
