Panera Bread

Been here twice in two days with our softball team and the service was fast and employees pleasant. We will return to this location.

I went into Panera bread on Sunday, March 4, 2012 to get bagels for a meeting. Bear In mind, I had called on the phone to be sure that my order would be ready. I told them I would be there In 20 minutes. I arrived, looking forward to walking In, paying and leaving. One other patron was there before me, so I waited my turn and then the lady behind the counter did not ask if she could Help me, but said she would be right with me. I gave my name and said I had a pickup, well imagine my surprise when it wasn't even ready. What was the point of calling In the order. She said it would take less than a minute to slice my bagels. She then tossed then In the Box, almost as if she was annoyed at me or the situation. She was not apologetic, nor seemed like she cared that it wasn't ready. I finally received my bagels and spread and was rung up by another employee, so they could ring up the Bakers Dozen +1. I felt like I received a good product, I love Panera but the lack of customer service and the attitude and indifference ruined the experience for me. I want to feel good about the places that I spend my hard earned money. I don't want to deal with someone else's bad attitude or bad day. If you make a decision to be In customer service, then serve your customers well! Please remind your employees, that for a business to stay In business they need customers. That means they need to treat everyone with the same level of service and respect, like a VIP. They never ever know who they may be waiting on!

Walked In, the girl behind the counter was helping another patron, so I waited my turn. She finished helping her and made me wait before simply asking how she could assist me. Finally my turn. I gave my name and said I had a pickup, well imagine my surprise when she said my order was not ready yet, although I had called it In...What was the point of that. She was not apologetic, and began slicing my bagels and tossing them In the Box like she was on a deadline and I was an interruption to her day. She was rude, and her facial expressions and mannerisms is not befitting someone that should work with customers. I finally received my bagels and spread and left. It was a horrible experience and I spent my time and money for a good product but the attitude behind it, ruined the experience for me. I will not be back. I sincerely hope you speak to all employees that have to deal with customers to understand that a friendly, cheerful attitude takes you a long way. Also customers are the very reason that people remain In business or they don't. It's important to treat every single one like a VIP...you just never know who you may be waiting on!

Panera offers great tasting food and wonderful specialty breads and bagels. Nice place to have lunch, too.
