        Founded in 1869, Elgin High School offers a wide range of subjects, which includes art, science, social studies, mathematics, English, technical education, music and business studies. It also offers a wide range of support services, which include peer tutoring safety net, future peer mentor support, teen parenting support and young women s empowerment groups. The school offers various activities and clubs, including cooperative work training, mechanical drafting, drug prevention, health occupations graphic communications, graphic arts, architecture, Hispanic, video and wood technology clubs. It also offers various sports activities, such as basketball, tennis, wrestling, soccer, softball and volleyball. Elgin High School is part of Illinois School District U-46 and is located in Elgin, Ill.
