A+++ (profession, courteous, licensed, bi-lingual, cleaned up afterwords). I like many others in El Paso, I suffered a ruptured water line in my home during the extremely rare below freezing, record setting, weather of Feb. 2011. I called 31 Plumbers, of the 31, GE Contractors was one of only two that even bothered to answer their phone. The we're very understanding of my situation and analogized that they could not get someone out here immediately due to the massive number of people experiencing broken water lines. They placed me on a waiting list and to my surprise was calling in less than 24 hours. They sent out a very professional, licensed, plumber, who quickly found the break, fixed the line, tested the line, insulated the line (and an additional line in the wall - hot and cold water feeds), and completely cleaned the entire area when completed. Their prices were very reasonable (comparable to normal local prices) and they did not price gouge during the city wide winter crisis. I would recommend this company to anyone wanting excellent service and workmanship.
We live in an old historic house (106 years old). The trim, windows & exterior doors of the house were in bad shape and in need of a good painting. Javier Miranda and his team did an excellent job of taking care of everything. They power washed everything first, scraped away old paint, sanded the wood down to bare wood where necessary, applied primer, applied glazing to windows where needed (there were many), caulked, replaced wood where necessary and gave everything a double coat of paint. His team of 3 professionals and sometimes 4 took a week to finish the job. The team was very thorough, conscientious, clean and prompt every morning. I was impressed by Javier's honesty in providing a quote for his work. Primarily because I had gotten some ridiculously high quotes from other painters for the same work. I highly recommend.
Because heating and cooling work is very expensive, we called several companies to interview and to obtain estimates. Many companies promised us estimates, but failed. Others provided very open- ended, nebulous estimates. Scott Contracting looked at our exiting system; explained what was fine, and what needed replaced. They gave us a complete and accurate estimate. They told us when they would start and when the project would be finished. The workers arrived punctually each morning, and cleaned up each afternoon. Our home was a major challenge, and working around four large dogs was not easy. The workers answered all questions and did an incredible job. The system works like a dream, and we know that we got the best system (Trane) at the best price, and made friends in the process. On a scale of 1-10, they are a 12.
