A1 Eau Claire Taxi

For the fourth time consecutively, the driver showed up over an hour late. When I complained to the driver, I was asked if I wanted to get out. When I did, the driver started taking off before the door was closed, and pulled out over my foot. I slapped the back to get the driver's attention, and she took off anyways. I tried to call the number provided to file a complaint (twice), and they refused to pick up.

I've been waiting for over an hour and it never came.
Their excuse is "Missed the memo" because of changing shift.
It is unacceptable. Never call the taxi company

I called a day in advance to set up transportation to and from an appointment. When I called back the next morning to confirm transportation they said they couldn't take me even tho I set it up a day in advanced. Not a dependable company.

The driver who is in on Saturday around 7 is a savior. He really gives me faith in the goodness of man. My father was at the hospital and called me for a ride but I was already stuck at work. I attemptes to contact a few companies to try to get someone to take my debit card over the phone, no one was able. I didn't know what to do and my heart sank. The guy gave my dad a ride home from the hospital at no cost. There are no words that can express my gratitude for this man.

We were 250 miles from home, stuck on the side of the freeway with an inoperable vehicle and three kids. Our roadside assistance suggested we call a taxi service since we were 15 miles outside of the nearest town and the tow truck didn't have enough room for the driver +5. The tow service suggested Eau Claire Taxi and I called and spoke to Rick and explained our situation. He was incredibly nice, said he'd be happy to figure something out even thought Chippewa Falls was closer and suggested I try one of their services first. I was able to arrange to get my family off the side of the freeway with the Chippewa Falls company. Just as I hung up, Rick called ME, very worried about the safety and security of my family and offered to get a plan underway to come get us. I told him we were okay and had someone on the way. When we tell this story of the broken truck and the stress of being stuck with the kids, Rick and Eau Claire Taxi will be a bright spot in an otherwise lousy situation even though we were able to use another company. Cannot thank Rick enough for caring about a car full of strangers and going out of his way to make sure we were okay.

I have never used a taxi service and if I ever have to will never use this one. Please read the following: They really need to screen who they hire for drivers as this happened to me yesterday. At Wal-mart there is a dip in the pavement in between the bus shelter and the building. This is only used to push carts up from the parking lot to the building, this is not a driveway nor does it go anywhere but up to the cart door & employee smoking area. Well I was walking on the SIDEWALK crossing this dip and a driver for this company drove right up on the sidewalk via this dip and almost hit me. He then proceeded to yell and swear at me to pay attention to where the F*** I'm walking. Excuse me? last time I checked pedestrians have the right away especially while walking on the sidewalk where no vehicle should ever be driving. After I confronted him about what he had mumbled we continued to argue about the events that had just happened. I told him I was reporting him, which I did since a big ol' 715-831-TAXI is plastered on the van. The dispatcher I spoke to didn't really seem to know what to say. She pretty much said "oh, yeah that's not good." and that she would let a manager know. However I have the feeling a manager will not be notified and this driver will continue with his dangerous driving. So anyone that is going to use this company, Beware.

Great service, and can be trusted. Running a private business myself i really appreciate someone that do is professional and on time, is reliable and is friendly.

Hi, my name is Sheri. I called A-1 Taxi from Sacred Heart at 10:45 pm because I needed a ride to Walgreens on Hastings, and then to my home. They were there within 10 minutes. The driver waited for me to get my script filled and then took me home. He was very polite, friendly, and courteous. I have added their phone number to my cell phone address book, because they are who I will call when I need transportation. Thank you A-1!

They don't even deserve one star. THE WORST TAXI COMPANY AROUND! I've never been more disgusted. I was charged 12$ to drive 3 MILES when i had told them last time i was charged 7 and no other cab company has ever charged me more than 10. The driver kept farting the entire time. Ran over a curb. Parked sideways in a busy intersection. Yelled and cursed at other drivers for doing completely legal maneuvers. I called to complain and got hung up on and laughed at THREE TIMES. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR OWN SAKE!! STAY AWAY. (Coming from a 18 year old female who has used every other cab company in Eau Claire)
