My husband got a new job up north and we had to move. We have three little kids and a teenage daughter, you can imagine how much toys, wardrobe and random clutter we have. There was no way I packed all that myself! I told my husband that I will be needing help, he said he will look into it. And then a good friend of ours recommended to call Packing Bees as he used they services just recently and was extremely satisfied. We trust our friend so we called their number 619-892-7836 that same day to get a quote. Dmytro picked up the phone. He was very polite and professional, he asked me a lot of relevant questions to get an idea of what we expected from their company. Then he offered to come by for a free in-house estimate, that sounded great so we agreed to meet up the next day. The next day Dmytro called to confirm is we still wanted him to come. I said of course haha ) he showed up 15 minutes early, introduced himself and asked to show him around. On his face I read he was a little shocked of how much stuff we managed to fit in our three bedroom house. He gave us very affordable hourly rate that included all the boxes and other materials they use. He said we could buy our own boxes but I said no thanks, bring yours haha. On the packing day Dmytro brought two other employees, one of them was a female, I thought it was very nice. Lauren is a kitchen pro! She is funny and respectful. Dmytro and Nathan worked on the rest of the house. They worked for 8 hours with one lunch break. Next day when my husband brought the truck Dmytro came with two other guys to help us load everything. They were done in under 6 hours. They packed everything very well, it was obvious that they were professionals. I wish we could bring Packing Bees with us to help us unload and unpack thank you bees! Two thumbs up!

I got a new reception desk from Craigslist. However, when purchasing from Craigslist, regardless of the amazing condition the desk was in, there is no delivery. So after shopping around for someone in San Diego who would move my desk only was surprisingly difficult. Most places will only do larger full office moves. The ones that were willing to move my desk wanted to charge me by the hour with a 3 or more hour minimum. It would only take a few minutes to move my desk from Mira Mesa to Rancho Bernardo. Just when I was about to use the guys hanging out under the freeway overpass, I ran across an ad for San Diego Small Moves on Google. Actually it was the same search I had been using to find all the others but they were not at the top of the search results. These guys charged me a flat fee which is exactly what I was looking. Though the price was reasonable, that was not my big issue. I would have paid more just to have my desk moved without some guy taking his time just to increase the cost. Don't let the old Ryder truck with the faded paint from the removal of the Ryder logos fool you. These guys were completely professional and prompt. They took the huge oak desk apart, packed it in blankets to keep from damaging it, and offered to put it back together for me. I know you get what you pay for, but it is not often that I am pleasantly surprised by getting MORE than I paid for.
I used Dominant Moving for a local move of my 3 bedroom apartment from Del Mar to Hillcrest. Moving crew of 3 strong guys, uniformed in nice blue t-shirts, arrived on time. Truck was big and clean inside and outside. Movers spend about 5.5 hours to move my apartment. They took a lunch break but excluded it from the bill. (Both locations were 2nd floor with the stairs). They worked pretty fast and professional, wrapping each piece of furniture. There were absolutely NO DAMAGES after. They disassemble and put back together my beds. Movers were very courteous and really cared about my furniture. Customer service was very friendly and easy to communicate with, they took care of all my concerns. Their rates were very fair and better than other companies and final price did not exceed the quoted price. This is a real professional moving company, they are licensed and insured. I spent a little over $500 and tipped movers $30 each (they deserved every dollar). Very happy with the service, already recommended to my friends.
