Well known, upscale restaurant in the French Quarter. Adjacent to the Roosevelt Hotel, which by itself is a must-see. When dining out, I appreciate the food, the atmosphere and perhaps most importantly the service. The staff was friendly and seemed to genuinely care about us enjoying our dining experience. They were very busy while we were there and a couple of times we were left waiting long periods of time. Best known for its gourmet pizza, which I had and was excellent. The rest of the menu was very good as well, according to my fellow diners. I would give the atmosphere a B+, the food a B+ and the service a B. I would recommend it to others and would consider dining there again while in New Orleans.
I only thought I had eaten lasagne until now. The flavor was unlike anything I had ever tasted. My girl had Fettucine which had this wonderful Pesto. Danni (Danielo) the waiter, saw to it that we had everything we needed. I HIGHLY recommend the Ruffino (Chianti). The combination of wine and food was orgasmic.Very small and quaint place. A nice romantic spot to bring that significant other. It was nice to go to the French Quarter and not be subject to the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street.
This is my absolute favorite Lakeview Restaurant. The meal I order most is the puppy drum with crabmeat topping with a side of Home-made pasta with butter and chives. Always wonderful staff - very attentive and friendly. Food Prices are reasonable though bar tab is a bit on high end. Always feel very pleased and well taken care of by the wait staff. Weekends are super busy so we try to go during the week.
