Dr T is great and really cares about you and your pet. Unfortunately my parakeet didn't make it out of surgery (he was in very bad shape) but he tried his hardest and he uses common sense treatments before expensive tests and solutions. He even went further into looking at cells from his tumors and he didn't charge me a dime for the surgery or anything. Most vets would've expected payment even after the loss of a pet but I really appreciate that he did that for me. It is hard enough losing a part of your family. I will definitely start bringing all my birds here. Thank you for all your hard work!

This is my second review of this fabulous, wonderful, exceptional, beautiful, fantastic and most professional and caring, loving animal clinic in the entire WORLD.
I speak from VAST experience with all of the staff here and the multitudes of pets I have had in my 59 years.
The FIRST thing that a new client will notice about this most wonderful clinic is the staff at the front desk. They are the first ones you will interact with and you will immediately feel warmth, compassion, and true caring from each and every person who is behind that desk. I dearly LOVE each and every single one of them. They are all like my daughters or sisters...depending on age, lol. They CARE. No matter what the reason for your visit, they will make you feel welcome and if you're upset about your beloved pet you love so much, they feel your fear and anxiety and put you at ease immediately because you can FEEL their genuine caring and concern. These girls are true angels.
I have been at that clinic when I've been gloriously happy, like bringing in a new patient for them to check over such as a puppy, or kitten. I've been there when I am feeling terribly afraid because my baby has been sick and needs their expert and loving hands. These girls...each one of them has helped me tremendously when I am in that kind of state; feeling so afraid that something is terribly wrong with my baby. Sharon, Maryanne, Denise, Lynne,Theresa, Kerry(Sorry if spelling wrong)---These girls have put my mind at ease while waiting to see the doctor and it seems I never wait that long when I have a sick baby. I have also been there when one of my babies is extremely sick; critical...and knowing in my heart that I won't be bringing them home with me. That is the worst, most horrific pain any furbaby mom can experience. This has happened over ten times in my nearly 30 years in coming to this clinic. Each and every single one I've lost has left a huge hole in my heart which is like swiss cheese by now. I have felt totally destroyed, exponentially devastated over every single loss and when it happens, I cannot stop the endless flow of tears. When these times have happened, one of those loving, caring girls has always been with me and I can feel how the loss of my baby hurts them too. They know your beloved pet from the time they are babies till they reach that time when it's time to say goodbye. They are so loving and supportive and assure me that I am doing the best and kindest thing I can do for my beloved, precious dogs, and as I am crying my heart out while the compassionate techs prepare her for the shot, I hold her in my arms and one of those loving girls holds me in their arms while I hug and kiss my beloved little furbaby goodbye; tears soaking their fur. They all know this horrific pain because they all have been through it themselves with their OWN beloved babies. Dr. Tomaschke and Dr. Fijas are so gentle and understanding when this horrible time comes. They give you all the time you need. This clinic has the most compassionate vets and techs in the world. If I could, I'd give each and every one of the staff there a medal for their compassion and dedication to caring for their precious little patients...(and another medal for their incredible patience in dealing with the nutsy, goofy, Benjamin Franklin in drag look-a-like mom).
The one thing that separates this clinic from all the rest that I've been to is they treat not just the pet...but the pets mom or dad as well. Each and every staff member from the girls at the front desk to the techs, to the DVM's...all treat YOU as well as your beloved dog, cat, or whatever with GENUINE COMPASSION and PROFESSIONALISM. They treat your pet as they would treat their own.

What makes Seneca Animal Hospital so unique and special? In two words? THE STAFF! THE STAFF! THE STAFF!
The staff at the Seneca Animal Hospital are in a word...""Precious"". Every last one of them. When going there for the first time, you will meet those beautiful, energetic, caring, compassionate, wonderful, and professional girls at the front desk. It is these wonderful young ladies who will put any fears you have concerning your pet to rest. They are always so sweet, caring, and just plain lovable. I should know...I have been a client for approximately 27 years or so. I can't tell you how many times these girls have put my mind at ease when I've called scared out of my wits over one of my ""kids"" and how quickly they will put your mind at ease while making room for you to come in immediately if it's an emergency. These girls are always on the phone either making appointments or calming someone down who is worried and fearful. I love talking to them; their knowledge about dogs, cats, and other pets is outstanding. These girls are the best!
After the girls at the front desk, a vet tech will call you in with your baby. First visit is to the left and the scales. There you will hold your breath and hope your pet did not gain weight or you will be sweetly and gently reminded by your vet that little Andy is too fat and needs to drop some more weight...or Winnie isn't too thin...""It's called a waist"" I was told by that man with the ""magic hands"" Dr. Fijas"" or more affectionately known as ""Duggie Wuggie"" or ""Feegee Weegee"". After the scales as you breathe a sigh of relief if the weight of your pet is ok, or start thinking up excuses if it isn' will be taken to your vets office. For me, it is usually Dr. ""magic hands"" Fijas"" or Dr. ""Cute as a button"" Tomaschke.
Once the doctor enters the examining room, all your fears will melt as you know your baby is in the best possible place--especially if they're sick with some unknown malady. If the news is bad, it is given to you with compassion and gentleness. If there is hope through some treatment or surgery, you are given those options. No matter what you are never, ever judged.
I can't say enough about the staff at the Seneca Animal Hospital. There is just one more staff person I'd like to mention. You should know that if he is there when you arrive, he will eagerly approach you for baked goods. He is always insisting that fresh home baked goods be brought in for him--even if you have a broken oven... That cute little Donny-Wonny has the biggest sweet tooth I've ever seen! In addition to that? He is a sweetheart of a guy. You will love him. Just bring in cookies, or cake, or donuts, or something sweet.
