while it is nice to have a local HEB, the customer service at this store is lacking. I called in to ask if they carried something I was looking for prior to driving to SA. The lady said the manager right next to her said no. I asked to speak to him quickly to be sure (all the other HEBs have it, but this is a new store) and she kept saying she would transfer me to someone else. I kept nicely asking to speak to this person, since he seems to know. After pulling teeth he gets on the phone (guess he's too good to speak to customers since they kept trying to push me off somewhere else), and wasn't helpful or caring at all. It's fine if they're a new store and don't carry certain things, but apparently they don't even care to hear what they can get in to help their customers. I asked to speak with the store manager, and after a few transfers to other depts got someone willing to transfer me to him. His name's Jason. He put me off and didn't really listen but said " he would check into it" I got the impression that it was a blow off statement and he didn't really care. Sadly dissapointed that HEB has brought their *big chain* mentality to our *small town* and we r now loosing the small town atmosphere of people that care about each other.
