Overall
Great competitor

I was looking up old fighters and much to my surprise I located Lee "The Jaguar" Barnard. I saw that he sugarcoated his bio a bit. He has competed in over 800 tournaments. He was the competitor of the year in 1988. Such competitions included Battle of Atlanta and Diamond Nationals. His first professional fight was in Miami and his debut was against an opponent that was 22-0. I honestly have not seen his studio but when I was a fighter in the late 80's he was much talked about. I gave him an exceptional rating because he was a true gentleman in the sport. In a day and age where people feel the need to talk trash about one another you will not find this with Lee. I plan on visiting his school in winter.

Overall
Great exercise

Although Mr. Barnard currently teaches out of a dance academy he is very accomodating to all students and parents. His martial arts are a Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido, and kickboxing influence. He was a former ring fighter and it shows in his demeanor and instruction. He puts the small adult class through occasional grueling workouts. The price is great for the instruction given and he could charge a lot more for his services. His previous police background makes his self-defense techniques and philsophy top notch. Well worth it.
