Whiskey

Went to Whiskey last night to give it another go. Again, pretentious bartender that thinks he is gods gift to cocktails when in actuality he has a really hard time making a halfway decent one.



Asked for a Dark and Stormy and he said he couldn't make me one. I asked if that was because they don't have ginger beer and he said that it was because it's winter. That he'd be happy to make me one in the summer, but that he just can't bring himself to making one in the winter. Absurd.



While a Dark and Stormy is a Bermuda born beverage, it is commonly viewed as a versatile drink that can warm winter months and refresh summer ones... And, regardless, I love daiquiris too (because they are delicious) and if I want one in February, why can't I drink one?



Anyway, even if it was more of a summer drink... Does it really pain you so much to poor some ginger beer and dark rum in a glass for me in the winter... Does it also pain you to put ice in drinks in the winter? Does it pain you that we are not all drinking toddies? If it does, you should find another job.
