Mease Manor

Excellent Community for my parents! They have lived at Mease Manor Independent Living for 2 years now and couldn't be happier. They love the activities, dining, and have made many new friendships. They always rave about the attentive staff. The best part is not having the responsibility and upkeep at their house any longer. They were sick of yard work, house work and cooking! Mom still cooks a little in their apartment, but mostly they enjoy their meals in the dining room with other couples they have met. I never imagined when we starting looking at Retirement communities a few years ago, that they would be this happy! Mease Manor has become "Home" to them. They told me the other day, they wish they would've done this years earlier, but they are so happy they made the decision now. While they can enjoy it together! Thank you Mease Manor for giving me peace of mind! I know my parents will be well looked after by the excellent staff when the time comes that they need more care!

Mease Manor is a great place to live and with in walking distance of downtown Dunedin. The staff and management have always put the needs of the residences first and given up days off to come in if needed. Having worked at Mease Dunedin Hosp, and now working directly with Mease Manor, I will recommend them to anyone who needs a Senior Living Community

I would give no stars if that were a choice. They have no idea of what a treatment plan is. I went to a care planning meeting for my mother at day 21, they did not have all the information from the hospital. I told them that it was unacceptable and called and instructed them to request it. The following Monday the coordinator from the assisted care where my mother resides came and completed an evaluation which cleared my mother to return. On Friday I and the Coordinator called, after keeping us on hold for 20 mins we were told the Social Worker was too busy to answer the phone and would call back after lunch. I stormed into the Rehab Center demanding to see the person in charge. Her and the Social Worker admitted "mis-communications" which I called rudeness and incompetence. Result, my mother will not be discharged till till July 7th because this is a holiday weekend. Oh, and the regional director thinks that a form will correct future repititions. Typical CYA response.
