Went to Chateaus and it was full, we sat down and got our drinks promptly, waitress took our orders and seemed pleasant, only took 15 minutes for 3 dishes to come out for us and about 5 more for the steak, the food was not bad i must say, they gave us plenty to fill us up and always had a full glass. I would say to give them a shot, a servings chance for some, the owners opened a business which these days it's hard, they have a family to support just as we do, so give em a shot and lets hope your experience is better next time.
I had the exact opposite experience from the 1-star reviews on this site. Our waitress was very friendly and our food arrived quickly. I had angel-hair jambalaya, which turned out to be great. It's a rich, spicy dish with shrimp, mushrooms, chicken, and Boudin. I also thought the salad was above average with the house dressing. We finished off the meal with banana cake, which was drizzled with dulce de leche. Based on this experience, it seems as though this restaurant is well above average for Duncan.
Service is great (although ALL waitresses are young and blonde), place is always clean and the food is great. Comes out nice and hot. Try the new spinach ravioli if you want something different; the sauce is excellent and you can't beat their raspberry vinagrette salad dressing.
