Padrino's II

I always get take out , since i'm around the corner. great pizza (pricey) Stromboli is fantastic and sapore di mare with red sauce is great. the childs spegatti is big enuff for 2 adults

Just want to give a big thank you to all the workers at Padrinos 2 for there enjoyable hospitality they showed us on November the 4th when we showed up unexpectedly with 27 people to celebrate my child's thirteenth birthday. They didn't complain not once, if they did they never showed it. Even when cake got wasted on the floor. They were serving us with a smile from the time we entered until the time we departed. We ordered pizzas, fries, salads, and a sub. All of it was great tasting and satisfying and hot. I paid less than I expected to pay. Once again a humongous thank you for making my child's day special.

The food is great, tasty, hot, big portions, and finally the right price!! My kids love the pizza, they will eat a whole medium by themselves, my husband and I love the friendly atmosphere, the great staff, and most of all the welcome we recieve when we walk through the door! I would recommend this place to everyone!!

I drove 25 miles with my two children aged 9 & 11 to meet friends for dinner at Padrino's II in Dumfries. I'm a smoker. Padrino's has a smoking section. The children and I arrived at 6pm and entered through the door to the smoking section, sat and waited for service. After 20 minutes of no acknowledgement that we were there, the owner of the establishment knocked on the window dividing smoking from non and gestured to the children and then to the door. He walked around and barked, "The children can't be here it's the law!" I asked, "You won't serve my children?" "It's the law," he says, "they need to leave." OK. I take my hungry kids and go as I no longer want to spend my money in this establishment. I would think, however that the owner should have been a little more pleasant to would-be patrons perhaps by offering to seat us in the non-smoking section.



I understand a proprietor has the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. His contention, however, was "It's the law!" So I spent this morning researching "Breathe Easy VA" and couldn't find any age related reference to patrons in the smoking section. I did see, however, that a separate ventillation system is required. It didn't seem as if they had any ventilation at all.



It's all such an unfortunate experience as we've always enjoyed the food there and my children were welcome until 10pm prior to the enactment of Breathe Easy VA. Perhaps the law should have provided some customer service tips as well. Needless to say, I will never step foot in there again!
