I was a little bit nervous at first because I don't really go to hair salons. I had a really bad experience at one before. So I have natural hair and I looked up salons and this one popped up. From the phone call I knew that this place was professional. This place must be under new management because these other reviews could not be further away from the truth. I called their and was immediately asked what service that I was looking for . I told her that I was transitioning and wanted a big chop. She told me the process of getting an appointment and it is online. You do have to pay a deposit of $35 which I was a little bit Leary but it's through PayPal so it was cool. She said that it will come off of my bill when I was serviced. I was like dang they serious. I receive a text to show up 15 minutes early so I did. I was immediately serviced and was out of the salon in less than 2 hours. The salon is intimate and quite serene. We watched Wendy Williams and the staff was professional. She offered some products for me to purchase and I did because she used them on me in the salon. This place is going places I felt like I was special. I will be back.

OMG, So I was leaving soon to go on a trip and I didn't want to be bothered with my hair. I wanted to get my hair braided but a lot of the African salons/living rooms/ kitchen/ whatever can be a little seedy. Plus they are always talking on the phone or to one another at the top of their voices, screaming and that gets on my nerves. Needless to say my experience at Wazala was nothing like this. The place was immaculate, my stylist was a boss. She made sure I was comfortable, gave me bottled water to quench my thirst and proceeded to braid the hell out of my hair . Long story short , I love it and I will be returning. Check out my Senegalese twist on here site.
After reviews on line I decided to give Fifi's African Hair braiding shop a try. I called the day before to make my appointment. I arrived the next day and we discussed my hair length, style and price. We agreed and my process started. I got cornrows with a double row down to my but. It took four hours. Those four hours were in a comfortable and clean environment. The shop was pleasant and bathrooms clean. She did a great job! She took her time, braided to the ends without being asked and took care for my edges. I was not happy with the previous place so I will will be returning to Fifi's Braiding Shop to between Saratoga and Howard! #happycustomer
