My favorite Ethiopian restaurants are the places that are one part eatery, one part community center (complete with things like satellite TV channels from Ethiopia), so that you can get a sense of Ethiopian culture and of life in the local community. (In other words, not very Americanized, and occasionally a bit unpolished about the edges.) The first time I went to Habesha, the server informed me which dishes were available that night, since there wasn't a printed menu (!). I promptly ordered the excellent veggie combo, which boasted a larger than usual number of selections, including multiple takes on hot and mild lentils, gomen, potatoes, salad, and a red vegetable mix that's reminiscent of beets. I've also had a mildly spiced lamb dish (with a wat-type flavor, though not the heat) at Habesha, which was quite good. Habesha is in the location once occupied by Fasika, near North Park mall and the big Half-Price Books just east of 75. Shadybrook is only a few blocks long, so I'd recommend getting an online map before you head out.
My husband and I were on our way home after a night of dinner downtown, driving on Commerce , we heard this wonderful sound of live music coming from the corner bar. He turned car around and we are happy we did ! Great drinks (not watered down) HOORAY FOR MIKE!!! Music was loud and live (17 pie…
We were staying at the joule hotel for my birthday. The club gave us a VIP table for 1/2 price and a free bottle of liquor on the house. We all had a blast. Didn't have to wait in any lines, just walked right in. I am going back very soon. :)
I had all but forgotten about One Arts Plaza, but had a great lunch at Fedora - this place is super comfy, the food was good and service outstanding! I am looking forward to coming back - I bet dinner is fun here - looks like it would be a place that is fun to come to with groups! I am glad I …

6. Four Lounge
They are right on, the room is very romantice, amazing cocktails (all their champagne & martini sauces are home-made), very friendly and impeccable service. You feel like you are at a 5 star restaurant and they don't even serve food. My friend had her 30th birthday there and it was just perf…
This is my first time to visit Sunset Lounge and it was a great experience. The drinks are mixed very well, and the price of alcohol is very affordable. The staff also makes you feel welcome. I highly recommend this bar

I cannot say enough about Zephys. They have been a place my friends and I have been visiting for 5 years. Ray the manager is top notch and one of the nicest people you will ever meet. He runs that place very well, which is one of the reason why it has been a landmark on Greenville Ave. The huge patio is the best in Dallas. They keep out the rift-raft and the there are always a a ton more women then men. The music is top 40 with rock and pop..non of the thug rap.
I went to Aura lounge saturday last week. It was rockin, I've never heard a DJ that was so good. We danced all night. The vibe was awesome from the door to the barstaff. We ended up getting bottle service and enjoyed every minute. Our waitress was very attentive and hot. I would recommend Aura as the place to go in Dallas if you want good service and good looking people. I go out atleast twice a week and none of these other bottle service bars compare!!
