Aurelios is a family owned homestyle pizza joint so don't expect to pay Pizza Hut prices. That said, don't expect to get Pizza Hut garbage either. This is truly the best pizza in the La Grange/Countryside area. The ingredients are fresh and delicious and appear to be cut on premises - no bags o' veggies here. The mushrooms are fresh, not those canned or jarred pieces of grey mush - a must for true pizza snobs. The sausage is particularly excellent being very tender and perfectly spiced. You will find no grek - you know - those weird globs of inedible fatty substance in sausage balls at cheaper pizza places.... The sauce is on the sweet side and in the perfect amount - enough to need a napkin but not enough to be bathing in. The cheese is a unique blend which includes, I believe, a bit of cheddar giving the pizza cheese a bit of a 'crunch'. Truly unique! It also extends over the crust in area's making the ends quite desirable. The thin crust is perfect in thickness and always crispy, even at the very center pieces. You'll find no sog at Aurelio's. Occasionally, a large amount of watery veggies will change the consistency of the cheese and give it a slightly 'off' taste and slightly funky consistency but in general, you will not find a better pizza in the S.W. Burbs. The stuffed is equally good. The top crust is not as soggy as you’ll find at other places such as Giordano’s which is basically raw dough on top of your pizza. Overall a 5 out of 5 rating.

We live close by and we were eager for this pizzeria to open. We could not wait to try it and boy we were not disappointed. We ordered carry out of two gourmet pizzas and garlic bread sticks. We did carryout as we did not want to wait even tho delivery time quoted was within 30 minutes. Pizzas were as good as they get - the sauce was amazing, plentiful toppings, also the cheese was golden brown. We loved it :) Nothing compared to Connies, pizza roma or pizza hut! Next time we will try delivery as they claim it is free. We are glad this pizza opened here as we did not have real gourmet pizza in neighborhood. Actually nothing is open past midnight, so Welcome!
Dan's Pizza has been around since the early 1970s and has THE BEST thin crust pizza in the area. They have great fresh ingredients (we especially like the sausage!) and their special barbeque pizza is "To live for!" For several years I was a thick crust eater, but now I am back to thin and Dan's has superb pizza. It's not a chain, the service is great and the owner is usually there.
